Off topic, but saw news Dennis and Ryan may be in the running to take over Manor now that the previous deal is off the tracks. Maybe Capito would be a part of that effort.

Anyhow, i want clarity on something. Is Denis out of Mclaren completely or is he still a part of the road car division and the other divisions?
I figured he was only out of the formula 1 aspect of mclaren.

He still owns 1/3 of Mclaren group shares and he is still a member of the board

Anyway, as for the 2017 contender, do people realise that there's a 90% certainty that they will NO LONGER be called MP4-XX ??

After all, the MP4 designation came from Ron Dennis' Project 4 Racing, his F2 and F3 racing team back then in 1981, resulting in McLaren Project Four.
In other words, with Dennis having been doublecrossed, i'm dubious he's going to accept that it's going to stay a MP4-designated car.

Meaning, we could see a Mclaren MF1/17 or something like that.

Those new Manors will take the Project 5, Manor + Project 5 = MP5.

As for the MP4 name ? Depends on who owns the trademark/copyright to it. It doesn't make a lot of difference what the McLaren car is called, just
so long as it gets closer to the sharp end of the grid.

More than likely if they can't use MP4 anymore they will revert back to MXX like they did. Although since Project 4 and McLaren are technically merged they could still use MP4 you would have thought.

That's outrageous.

Firstly its a complete fabrication as we can all see the Mclaren car is somewhat lacking.

Secondly how is it anybodies fault but Mclaren's that they have a car with anything other than the best PU on the grid installed in it.

When they had the Mercedes PU the only reason they weren't winning was because the Mercedes PU was holding them back as it wasn't their own works unit. Now they have what they wanted and the only reason they aren't winning is because they don't have a Mercedes PU.

Its always everybody else's fault at Mclaren isn't it.
