Waiting for someone to tell me mercedes isn't dominant on this track  half a second on a 1.08s lap.
Oh stop it. You do this anytime Merc is quicker. It’s become so boring and predictable.
You saying it ain't true? On this track? Basically walked every session so far by large margins.
Your guys’ hero said it ain’t true.

But please, lemme pop some popcorn before y’all call him a liar. The cognitive dissonance I’ll get to watch will save me from renting a movie.

I am wondering if Mercedes have fitted a one-race screamer ICE to Hamilton's car for the weekend. Take the 5 place penalty, but run the ICE at max+ all weekend to try and win the race, then discard it after the race because it is totally worn out.
I don't know how great of an idea it would be. They would need to be completely sure they could win the race, otherwise, it is a waste. They would probably still be in the fight if they didn't take the penalty based on Bottas' pace anyway.

Surprised, why weren't Mercedes quicker than RB at USA? the variables muddle the picture all the time. how much does getting set up right effect this, Max was complaining about his tyres. Temperatures are going to be a lot warmer tomorrow and especially Sunday, so I don't know what to expect, just like Mexico.

What surprised me was the RB complaining of overheating its tyres? isn't that usually the Mercedes issues?

Even the RBR director of propaganda isn’t impressed with the Merc performance.

It still doesn't change the fact that, Merc has a quicker car.

the red bull just wasn't working that well here for whatever reason. if it proves the same on Sunday then for sure the RB wasn't fast enough here. but unless Mercedes shows this level of advantage in the remaining races, then I'm not convinced its best. Even if it is at its ceiling of performance, its clearly too fussy of a car with conditions to apply it enough?

I watch the broadcast. This doesn't make it any less true. Today they walked the day, or are you gonna deny that still? #-o
0.5s on such as short track is advantage red bull can only dream of this year. But you know, "RB faster car all year" premise must go on.

Overheating the fronts, so I suspect they set-up the car trying to gain as much lap time as possible in the middle sector.

I watched the interview live. He told they were not happy about the gap. Max did not have a clean lap and the real gap should have been 2 tenths, however even that is big on such a short track he told.

so its a season of which team gives their driver the happiest car on the day sometimes. difficult to claim which car is faster based on that. Especially when we're citing screaming tyres and temperatures. Its not like Max walked away and said "the car was great" so clearly the RB isn't extracting its potential. anyway these emotional responses on this subject is quite funny.

The faster *all* year narrative is about as stupid as the narrative that any one car has ever been dominant on a weekend.

The only theory I’ve subscribed to, which is also subscribed to by literally everyone in the paddock, is that RBR have had the faster car over a weekend for the MAJORITY of the season.

I’ve said that about a million times. Maybe putting part of the statement in all caps will let it sink in.

When was the last time we saw a display like that?! This track really flows. Loving the torsional deflections in the chassis as the cars ride thru like a roller coaster.

Please stop it, all of you. Every thread, the same people starting the same argument.

At the end of the season there will be a single WDC & WCC. That's all that matters.

Bringing it back to THIS race. Paul di Resta was just saying he feels like Mercedes setup the car for qualifying, whereas Red Bull have setup for the race. He said what's important is Hamilton has a penalty in the race, so Red Bull have track position, and a car setup for the race.
