Johnson you evil que jumping fiend!!

Mika Hakinnen and David Coulthard reached 356 kph (221 mph in real money) at Hockenheim (the proper circuit, not the limp wristed piece of snot that is supposedly called Hockenheim now).

Either that or is is 225 mph but I don't know who, what, where and when.

In the Italian Grand Prix 2004 Antônio Pizzonia of BMW WilliamsF1 team recorded a top speed of 369.9 kilometers per hour

Away from the track, the BAR Honda team used a modified BAR 007 car, which they claim complied with FIA Formula One regulations, to set an unofficial speed record of 413 km/h (257 mph) on a one way straight line run on 6 November 2005 during a shakedown ahead of their Bonneville 400 record attempt

Just guessing but it was a speed record attempt, something broke and the car rolled a few times. Looks like the driver was thrown from the car.

Is that the race in which Stirling Moss got thrown off his car?
I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.

It is not Moss. There is also something unique about line-up of the podium of this GP.

It's Hans Hermann's BRM from the 1959 German Grand Prix at the AVUS.

An excellent podium indeed!

I'll pose another head scratcher later. In the meantime, if anyone wants to have a go that's fine by me.
