Bernie said in Barcelona that Mercedes is going to sign the new concorde. He had a meeting with Zetsche also in Barcelona.

Probably. They said before the weekend that, Barcelona was going to be tricky. And they're optimistic for Monaco.simos wrote:Interesting read. Could it be that Merc in Spain was slower in qualifying because they opted for a less aggressive setup that would preserve tires longer in race? And if thats the case, can we expect good q performance in Monaco and again high race degradation?
Agreed. With one or two exceptions that come to mind, they're usually quite frank about their perceived odds. So if they're optimistic, I'll be too.zyphro wrote:Probably. Maybe they'll be right again?
Who knows, depends on what the Pirelli team serve up.
Yeah. I expect Schumacher to be a beast in quali, should things go according to plan. Too bad about the 5 place grid drop.NewtonMeter wrote:Agreed. You don't see John Elkann of Fiat negotiating with MrE on Ferrari's behalf, do you?elf341 wrote:From a political point of view it does make more sense for DrZ to negotiate rather than Brawn.

Munudeges I think is wrong when he suggests that Brawn not being party to negotiations is a bad thing. IMO, Team Principal is more an internal role for the sport but also the organisation of the team. Brawn is no longer the owner of this team, and ultimately, therefore he is more in administration than "the boss" - just like Christian Horner isn't the one making the important decisions about RBR.
