That one safety worker standing right at the end of barrier opening was very fortunate that no crash debris didn't go flying to his direction. It certainly could have.

That's the advantage of a team with 2 drivers that have the same driving style and like the same set-up from the car. :)

Ferrari split their race sims for a while now, way before Seb and Kimi were team mates.

Vettel vs Kimi and Hamilton = SS vs S. If the SS is appreciably faster than the S then Vettel's time is nothing special. If the tyre difference is none-existent, then the time is good.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Friday times mean nothing. I cant remember the last time any team showed 100% of their pace in P1/2...

P3 will tell the tale, and even then I still think they have another click to go on their engine mode for Q3.

Vettel got some tow from Kimi almost the whole lap. Ferrari was practicing this tow strategy for their quali.

BTW I wonder who controls the button of change onboards of different cars. It's getting a little ridiculous the last few races. Almost no onboard of a complete flying lay. Onboard was changed to another car in the middle of a lap, which is very stupid. This Vettel's flying lap was changed to Alonso after he passed the first chicane. Good thing they it changed back before the 2nd chicane.

There really needs to be a proper f1 dictionary on this site, otherwise people will start calling tow when cars are on opposite sides of track.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Thats not Kimi infront of him and no Ferrari has not been practising tows in FP2. Stop making stuff up.

Sky Sports TV coverage gave lots of praise to the wheel tethers preventing the wheels from going anywhere during Ericcson's crash.

But no one bothered to mention the fact that the car going airborne and flipping is purely from the wheel tethers.

Once the car went sideways, a front wheel dangling around on its tether got under the car and the car "tripped" over itself, effectively, hopping up into the air, at which point it started barrel rolling. Watch the video.

With no wheel tether, the car would have just skidded along the ground until it came to a stop after it bounced off the wall.

This track has been around since 1923! Would you believe this is the SLOW layout of the track? Used to be a hell of a lot faster. First chicane, Variante della Roggia, and Ascari chicanes never used to exist. The 2 Lesmos were tightened a few years ago and made much slower too.

The second lesmo in particular used to be epic. That was when F1 was still F1.

Also, imagine the speed these cars would have going into the Curva Grande with no chicane after the front straight!

It's actually always safer to have one object flying instead of 5 (the chassis and four separate wheels)
Always find the gap then use it.

Met Office reporting 70% of rain all day until 6PM local time.

GP3 is a currently wet race too.

Just shown Vettel watching. I imagine that shows what Ferrari think it will be like .
