Was it the rear wing support pillars of the Hill GH-1, in 1975?

That's it, with Rolf Stommelen driving! They were carbon fibre, but I have no idea if it was a first?

1969 Spain Montjuich park. Lotus. I doubt that those wings were carbon fibre.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

There are some rumours about Postlethwaite using carbon fibre in the Hesketh 308, from 1974, which could be its first application, but I can't confirm it.

Surely Andrew can clarify this.

I was actually thinking of the wing supports on the Hill GH1 of 1975.

However the Hesketh 308 of 1974 was the first it seems.

Don't take my word for the use of carbon fibre on the Hesketh...

This was the last F1 race at this circuit. Which circuit is it?

Nivelles in Belgium? Picture from 1974 with Regazzoni and Lauda in their 312B3s in front, followed by a Shadow and Ronnie Peterson somewhere in the back.

When Regazzoni and Lauda were both driving ferrari 312T's at the 1975 race, while the picture shows the 1974 312B3, I doubt this.

I believe that my source was wrong. It is indeed 1974 and the circuit could be Monaco...

Sorry about that. It seems I failed to do the appropriate research and confirmation...
