The person I was thinking of had 14 DNPQ and only lasted 1 year and it was not Aguri Suzuki who I had in mind though Aguri Suzuki in 1989 would be the correct answer. #-o

Then you might have been thinking about Claudio Langes 1990?

Where did this race took place and who was the winner?

Sometimes I wonder when Tomba made you a moderator WB?

F1 drivers makes it F1 related, your pre-war questions are not however.

Can your personal remarks, xpensive! They do not contribute anything to this board but trolling.

You have F1 drivers in every motor racing series all over the world and we do not wander off topic for them. The occasional pre war GP question is well justified because it was an equally fascinating period of GP racing as F is with a great championship and races stretching from America to South and North Africa. Often we find technologies that were later revived in F1 (example rear engines) and that fully justifies the occasional trip down memory lane IMO.

WB, this was a notable race. And perfectly F1 related IMO.

Point taken. Related, but not a proper race. We can extend the Quiz to the RoC with the same arguments.
I don't mind at all if such a video is posted for our education but not as a proper question. In next to no time we will be deep in CanAm and LeMans questions.

Just magical! Thanks timbo....from a very very grateful Senna fan :D
Can I just point to how hard Senna was driving there. Christ it really makes me wish I had even a tenth of what this great man had.

And what a good idea that would be, bring it on, Formula one drivers in CanAm, I can name a few. How about you Andrew?

Ignore and/or report is the best course of action. No point having a barney on the thread.

As for question content, I guess it is upto the poster who set up the thread or a moderator, but I would agree that this question is F1 related and is more relevant than a thread about Button and his other half splitting up.

As long as a question can be linked to F1, then it is fine for this thread. Anyone else?

Before we go to that, can I just put this idea forward?

Racing 190E cossies is very emotional for a Mercedes fanatic as myself, doubly so when Senna is at the helm.
It brings me to my point. We see these guys in sub 700kg hypercars with no real affinity to the real world other than 4 wheels and and internal combustion engine.

I put it forward that these guys(F1 indy etc) all have to race an S65 AMG BiTurbo round the Noordshcleife at least once a year! 2 tons and 650BHP WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
More could have been done.

They'd be better off racing on the Nordschleife.

Now back to the quiz!
