Look how Massa was handling Kimi after 2007. He beat him in 2008, was in the process of beating him in 2009.
As much as i think Vettel is better, i still think Webber can have another 2010; as long as Pirelli make the tyre more like the bridgestone.
Having another 2010 mean he is going to finish 2nd again?? Even on Bridgestone, SV still out qualified MW by 10 poles to 5.

SV has matured a lot since 2010 and he hardly make mistake these days, so as long as RBR continue to provide a quick and reliable car, I dont see how MW will be able to win a WDC with SV as team mate.

You don't know the future. You can't just discount the guy.
Look on Bruno Senna. Some had him as the bottom of the barell pay driver. Now he's doing well.
Whiteblue, haters gonna hate
like this?
i hope he never does become WDC, it would devalue it imo
If he drives for it and beats Vettel a 2 time champ in the process, then how would that devalue the WDC?

It's this kind of thinking Lol.

As long as Mark in a top F1 car he will try to win the WDC. It's just end of season and he's tired. Come next year he'll try his luck at the big prize.
For Sure!!

No one is talking about the future here.

I am just using 2010 results as an examples of how SV out qualified MW 10poles to 5 using the same bridgestone tyres which you say will benefit MW.

10 to 5 but only led in the last race?
That could have gone either way, Webber would be happy to have 2010 over again.

No one is questioning if Webber will be delighted to have 2010 again or not. My question is if SV could out qualified MW by 10 to 5, what make you think that by having a more Bridgestone like tyres in 2012, MW will have a better chance at repeating 2010.

Any facts or stats to show MW is a better driver in 2010 because of Bridgestone tyres?

Well Mark won 4 races last year, this year 0.
Everybody knows Mark is having trouble with these Pirelli's and it's obvious he likes the Bridgestones better, but it's also his job to adapt.
I cant remember the places I read this but from mid-2010 the EBD was changed to suit Seb's driving style more, which disadvantaged Mark, which is one reason we seen Seb do better in the second half of 2010. Where in the first half Mark was getting the better of Seb at some races because it was equally suited to them.
Also RB announced last year that the RB7 would be built totally around Seb so maybe Mark is also having trouble driving a car suited more to Seb's liking. They announce this at a point Webber was also leading the WDC.
What if Mark did win the WDC, do you think RB would then change it's design setup to suit Mark more being the WDC, I doubt it.

If I could just ask; where are we hearing that next year's Pirellis will be tougher (a la Bridgestone)? Or are we talking, "IF" Pirelli do it?

Oddly, I'm hearing the reverse – pirelli are apparently unhappy that the teams are never using their 4th set of primes, and are proposing one solution being that they just choose tyres that are too soft, and require 3/4 stops.

I thought they wanted to completely get rid of that last set of primes (cut the allocation of primes by 1)

Also; Paul has also said on Twitter before that next year the steps will all "move up" by one rung. the 2011 supersoft is the 2012 soft; the 2011 soft is the 2012 medium; and the 2011 medium is the 2012 hard.

Beelsebob is hearing it right.

Hembrey is tired of the wasted set of harder compound that's never used. 4 tyres per car and 24 cars adds up to 96 tyres wasted at each event, thats almost 2000 perfectly good tyres destroyed for for no reason.

Hembrey wants a reduction so as to limit the waste and cost.

Webber says he was misquoted, so he was misquoted.
