Don't forget Newey is bald. The airflow remains attached and laminar. In the lack of hair there is little to no boundary layer

There are still templates for that, believe it or not.

Newey can write and draw as good with either hand, he is ambidextrous whitch when it comes to drawing is a massive advantage. It means he can see things from both sides of things.

Only about 3% of people have such an advantage.

it's probably due to what he was taught on, being a lefty myself we are often forced to learn using right handed equipment, i know it's not quite the comparison but how many people do you know that are left handed that actually use left handed scissors. Maybe his college didn't provide left handed equipment so he now just feels comfortable using it.

I think Red Bull are like Apple. They are the most creative and haves culture. The other teams are like Microsoft, copying.

I am doing an important review on Red Bull and was wondering whether someone could provide me an insight as to what separates the Red Bull car from the rest of the grid? What is the technical aspect of the car that separates it?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Jamie
Superior aerodynamics. Perfect package. Adrian Newey.

I´m no aerodynamicist though..

Umm, the shark fin was used in other series (1994 Penske PC23 although a much smaller one admittedly) before F1 so it was copied by RedBull. Nil points.

And what about the f-duct? That was copied by RedBull too. Nil points.

Exhaust blown diffusers aren't new either so that was copied by RedBull. Nil points.

And flexible wings aren't new - although no one managed to do it was well as RedBull have so perhaps half a point to RedBull there.

In a way I think what Echo means is that Red Bull has kept to a "keep it simple, stupid" strategy and it's given them an advantage. Arguably an analogy can be drawn to Apple

It's a complex matter. I'm offering you the opinion of the expert here - http://f1framework.blogspot.com/2012/01 ... -core.html. I'm just a translator. It's worth saying that I agree on every count, and I'll just include the excellent Vettel in the package.

But this year they are copying other teams exhaust layout. They were not the first with the double deck diffuser or the F-duct. Hardy the masters of creativity.
