I could see a single blade type device being placed in front of the cockpit without too much problem for the driver - they have aerials and pitot tubes there already in some cases. But this sort of frame is just daft.

Smacks of the FIA wanting to look like they're doing something whilst knowing that nothing will come of it.
with my idea it would create no obstruction to the drivers view (windscreen), it would look good, and it would stick with the f1 car 'look'

with its very high grazing angle and curvature, the driver won't be able to see as accurately through your 'windscreen' as it is now unobstructed (save for the helmet visor.) the thicker the windscreen, the worse it will be.

Its just a representation of the idea, the windscreen could be vertical, could be slightly less sloped, could be higher, I think the windscreen idea is more viable than a huge roll hoop infront of the driver.

I think you're never going to remove the danger for racing and the drivers understand that, if you wan't to stop this sort of stuff happening make the car's completely enclosed and turn them into le mans prototypes.

Forward roll hoop is a bad option, go for a military grade screen that looks like a late 80's screen but a little taller coupled with a low nose.
