What's the name of the GPL game you all talk about? I googled it and I just get rubbish.
I must admit that I'm not a big fan of F1 simulators, but I remember having a good time when my brother and me played with GP2.
I have to find something to calm the winter test boredom.

I have GTL, I dont like the way the game runs, u have to faff about doing stupid things all the time, its more like a console game than a PC game. Real liked the concept i just think they messed it up.

PS. Here is why PGR3 is Soooo much fun

I'm downloading the GTR2 demo, maybe I'll still be able to play on-line.

I have the demo of EASports F1 season 2001, with the damage on 300%, It's a real challenge, esspecially as the only track is the Indy mickey mouse circuit, and with only 7 opponents It looks very much like 2005.

I preferd GTR to GTR 2 as for the neww ones they have used the physics engine they used for GTL which I find unrealistic and not so comfortable to drive with. Meh most others seem to like it though

I voted GTL - because I love the old cars and we are having some amazing league races at the moment 8)

I must reinstall GPL - it is probably still the Daddy, but I would need to compare it to modern stuff to be sure. Does anyone have any download tips if I do a fresh install? It's been so long I've forgotten what patches I need etc.

rFactor gets up close to these two, but it's heavily dependent on the quality of the mods available.

GPL needs a lot of patches. First, you have to install the official 1.2 game patch. This patch will update both 1.0.0.0 and 1.1.0.3 versions of GPL
http://www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/614
Then next is the GPU speed fix, same web page. And after that the Direct 3D patch.
I then suggest you get the high resolution cars, much improved. I lifted that from the BHMotorsports demo, the 67 car file.
