Who broke wind(tunnels)?!

wasn't an ex-arrows tunnel advertised on ebay a while back for expressions of interest? was a nice piece of work for scale testing. have the link somewhere here but very likely link has expired. shame, was an interesting insight into what was used.

was in one piece too :D

People though that Sauber were crazy when they built a state of the art wind tunnel, but they never planned to run it 24/7, so that they could rent out time and recouop some money.

BMW I'm sure thinks it was a great idea.

Renault, rather than

investing in a second wind tunnel, is going to expand its F1 factory at Enstone with a $50M CFD facility (which was erroneously reported as a wind tunnel earlier). The facility will supposedly increase Renault F1's processing capacity tenfold. Technical Director Bob Bell:
While other teams have invested in costly second wind tunnels, we believe that CFD is a technology of the future that will be integral to the design and development of more efficient vehicles. This new centre will allow us to push the existing technological boundaries and to develop new techniques and skills that will have applications far beyond the race tracks of the future.
