Similar to 2007 car , away from the cockpit for aero reason s (less disruption of the air flow to the rear of the car)

The new Ferrari seems to be a lot of small re-designs/improvements as opposed to a 'new' car, what do you guys reckon?
Watching these pics it seems to me that there is no new Ferrari, the car is evolving from week to week. Let´s see what Australia brings to us.

To answer one of your questions, HKS, the F2008 has a slightly shorter wheelbase than the F2007. I was trying to find a quote from Nicholas Tombazis, who spoke specifically about the wheelbase, but could only come up with this: http://www.formula1news.net/ferrari-f20 ... wheelbase/ . To sum it up, they're only slightly shortening the wheelbase to maintain the excellent performance on long sweeping bends we see at places like Spa (Ferrari 1-2), while making up some of the deficit they suffered on very tight tracks.

Not very different compared to F2007. Of course this is a comparison between F2008 winter testing version and F2007 mid 2007 season .

Ferrari did use similar front wings in Australia and Malaysia, as far as I know, but those shown in the pictures are different. The upper main plane is with that cut where the gurney flaps used to sit in the Australia version, and the Malaysia one is without it. In some pictures it looks as if they could just diassemble that part as they wished.
Anyway, Ferrari usually brings both wings and test them before the race. I guess they decided to go for the "smoother" one on both occasions so far.

I agree that they used similar front wings in Australia and Malaysia, I'm just saying that the pictures don't show it. The Australia 2008 one is probably from practice, when they test both versions:

I think they started with that around Spa 2007.

Here is a better angle, from Malysia:
