well i don think it matters that much because most of us are more interested in the aero devices of the car rather than the shape of the wheel and since by rule there isnt any "movable aero devices" it should be fine.......this will make copying a car so much easier for the other teams

You could also use the freeware version of Debut Video Capture, or your favourite screen capture:
http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/index.html

The technique is to get pixs from different angles of perspective so Photosynth can combine them all to somehow create something like a 3D wireframe; then it 'drapes' a photo realistic render of the surface to get the 3D picture, I imagine they have some technique for averaging dimensions, arranging thousands + points into an internal 'holograph' - almost in real time - that's how I understand it. Minimum about 25 photos I think. The MS Photosynth website is worth study, basically a tutorial.

I took about 75 photos of a can of soda, and had decent results.

Never saved it though.

Well everyone, the first attempt, and second attempt with the F10 didn't turn out so good.

The car is completely red, and the only reference points it seems to use are the logos.

The program can not tell, on a zoomed in picture especially, what shell logo, what ferrari.com logo, etc is where, so it sometimes lines up a wing with a sidepod, or one side if the rear wing with other.

If bar555 has time to send me another set, I think it should be the redbull. it's stripes and paint details should give it a secondary set of points to key off of.

Even the logos on the rear wings are directional.

The f10, as you can see here, was a bad choice on my part. Thinking the simplicity of the paint and design would be helpful but it was the exact opposite.
