Latest reports state that it is Barrichello's seat that is at risk, not Hulkenbergs.

It could be either one of them. The only reason Hulkenberg is at risk is because of money and the reason why guys like Heidfeld don't have a drive. He's had a slow start in parts but you'd rather have him in your team for three or four years than Barrichello. However, I do think Hulkenberg looks like a guy, like Vettel in a way, who has got to Formula 1 a little early.

Maldonado is a joke. The guy has taken years and a severe following wind to make a splash in GP2. No doubt we will hear Williams complaining about how they should be higher up in the constructors' as Renault are doing right now, as well as all the replacement parts needed......

RB already has a contract for 2011.

TBH I think the information in the press is about making sure Hulk resigns but at a price Williams are willing to pay, don't forget Hulk is managed by Willi Weber and he's famous for overblowing what his driver is worth. WW is up against a team that has famously dumped WDC's due to pay disputes.

Barrochello has NOT signed a contract as yet. He said that he was sure he would be staying with Williams, but Frank is saying that Nico will be with them.

Frank says he "would like" for Hulkenburg to be with them. Money can trump those feelings easily. Suppose Renault had to dump Petrov in turn for getting a Red Bull that's a no brainer.

I take back everything now.. Maybe I didn't see his potential. He destroyed the field today!

you weigh up the points=money against having a questionable newbie and some money....but surely less points .It is a numbers game, simple as that .Hulkenberg can pay for his seat himself by scoring strongly..as did Barrichello.

Every driver has had the "drive of their life" experience. And yesterday may have been Hulkenberg's. I hope, for his sake, he's the kind of driver who'll have more. But, whether or not he stays, Williams'll still need an experienced driver as his teammate. At least for another season. He can't screw up his opportunity tomorrow. One race doesn't prove him a future star. Hulkenberg hasn't yet challenged Barrichello's results. This year would have been his developmental year. If he's around next year, showing more promise is out the window, and he'd need to produce more positive, consistent results.

That pole hasn't amounted to much today.

I doubt whether anyone realistically expected that it would. It was a fluke and it was proved right off the start. It was a nice show though.

The finishing order usually rights itself. As it did again today.

He still did a good job today. He had a nice battle with Alonso/Hamilton and drove a solid race. He was a bit unlucky with getting stuck behind Petrov, but realistically a place between 6 and 8 was the highest possible position he could score today.

I dont know if there is a contract in place for Rub or Nico, but in the case there are not the logical path FW would follow is to keep the Hulk. Barrichello costs money and Hulk would ride for free and we all know FW pragmatism...

Barrichello has brought a big haul of points to williams this year + was mentioned more than once by the team for providing very valuable input...
So Bernies money contribution will easily pay his retainer plus net a fair bit of fighting fund..
Hulk and Ruby did a remarkable job this year for Williams.
