X, what's the point of the quiz? To show that you're an old chap? :P
I think if one spends some of his time and learns a bit of racing history (from wiki, google or whatever) it is still worth the effort.

My turn again, then :P

Name the F1 car that pioneered a single central fuel tank, located around the CG of the car and titanium torsion bars in suspension.

That's right, xpensive.

It was called the AF101 and Tony Southgate is quoted as saying about it that it "had been the basis of future central-tanked, 'low polar' F1 cars, and that if it had sidepods and skirts it wouldn't have looked out of place amongst future ground-effect machines"

The car at launch:

Robin Herd was the engineer responsible for the March 711, but who did the bold aerodynamics of that vehicle?

Goldstar for knowing what his brother did for a living?

Scheisse, just realized this was way too easy to Google, but anyway.

The "Marmon Wasp" featured rear view mirrors, so no co-driver had to be on board. Why this was beneficial should be obvious...

Close enough! It was the only single seat car on the grid at a time when all cars carried a second seat for an engineer should the car breakdown.

Your go. =D>
