That was the answer I was looking for. Joakim Bonnier Racing Team and Anglo-Suisse Racing were created by Jo and competed in F1.

Bonnier were teammates at BRM and also in a Maranello Concessionaires-entered Ferrari in 1964, in sportscars.

This is a bit of a long-shot, but hopefully wiki-proof, let's go;

A French former F1 driver was managing Peugeot's Engine programme in 1994, like Bergers role with BMW I guess, when he after the acrimonious split with McLaren said something really stupid in Autosport.

Who was the ex-driver and what did he say?

Jean-Pierre Jabouille aka Jelly-Baby

He worked under Jean Todt for Peugeot and took over when Todt left for Ferrari. I'll have a look what he had to say.

It's a trick question. :lol: He didn't say anything at all and it was the lack of success of any kind that led to his sacking. :?:

Yep, he must have said something really obscure. Unless who have eidetic memory or you read all 1994 March-July Autosport issues you will probably never know.

Btw, Jabouille wasn't sacked by Peugeot Sport that year. That happened a year later when he had screwed up with Jordan as well.

I wonder how the Ronster managed to evade the four year contract though. He probably had some clever performance and reliability clauses included. Impressive job!

I have a nice one lined up if we never resolve the quotation.

After the split with McLaren, he was quoted in Autosport early 1995 saying;

"Losing McLaren was a stroke of luck for us". I guess that was one way of looking at it :shock:

You can go if you have something WB? But how did Ron manage to steal the Mercedes engines from Sauber then?

For this quiz I regard every driver who participated in an F1 race as F1 driver. Retired or not doesn't matter.

I will start giving hints when the question is unanswered for more than 24 h.

I believe you are right.

Paul Pietsch also drove many races in the golden era for Auto Union and with private Italian made cars. After his driver career he became a hack and founded a publishing house which among others made the magazine Auto Motor und Sport (AMuS). AMuS is still by far the biggest European motor publication.

And of course, Paul reaches the grand old age of 99 in 3 days, June 20. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Herr Pietsch!

Bet he wondered if he was going to make 99 not out when he spectacularly crashed in his one and only drive for Alfa in his home Grand Prix in 1951!

When it comes to Finnish F1 drivers, most people can name five, Kovalainen, Raikkonen, Häkkinen, Lehto and Rosberg, some would add Kinnunen to make it six, but at least one is missing, name him?
