Your go!
Who remembers the drivers' strike at Kyalami in 1982? It was organised by Niki Lauda after he noticed a clause in the super licence application that he and his fellow drivers felt was too restrictive. After a lot of unproductive argy bargy, they ended up locking themselves for the night in a banquet suite Lauda organised, sleeping on mattresses spread around the floor. All this so that they could keep an eye on each other to prevent anyone defecting. The weakness in the plan was that the room lacked a loo. A key was left on a tray in the middle of the room and drivers were on an honour system to go directly across the corridor to the loo when they needed to and then relock the door and return the key to the tray.
In the middle of the night one of their number "did a runner". As Keke Rosberg later put it, "(He) went out, didn't come back, and lost all our respect for ever - not because he decided to leave, no, but because he betrayed us all. He went straight to Balestre and Ecclestone, and told them everything that we had discussed..."
So here's the question. To whom was Keke referring?
