Meet the F1 W12
All through 2010-2012 they had a bit of an awkward black/silver fade on their engine cover, which looked worse that this one (esp. since the front looks great), so for me this one is not the worst, though I too don't welcome the fade-out return!Schuttelberg wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 13:13That is the first awful looking Mercedes livery since the hybrid era began. I seem to like whatever little I see of Bottas' new lid.
Yeah I don't like this at all, although it is a step up from the original livery from last year - that was awful.Schuttelberg wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 13:13That is the first awful looking Mercedes livery since the hybrid era began. Actually, it's the worst of the lot since their return.

It's very tacky, and what did they do about the Niki Lauda red star? Given that AMG[-line] models have now adopted a multi-star grille, it seems very odd to simultaneously abandon that motif on the Formula One car
Kind of agree - I liked the stars better.
Definitely looks like "the board" believes the AMG brand isn't getting enough association with the F1 team.
