Alonso my driver of the race for his enlightenment over the radio on his whole career so far.
Hamilton had a mediocre weekend but found himself a lottery ticket during the race. Good luck to him I guess.

He just lost too much time behind Antonelli with the same tyres at the first half of the race. He had drs on Antonelli, but Antonelli had drs behind Hadjar so Lewis couldnt overtake. Lewis lost the position at the start although his start was good he was chopped hard by other Ferrari and had to brake early and lost the position to Antonelli. After his first stop with mediums he had a really strong pace.

Lewis had a good race, had good pace and finished ahead of his teammate. Not lucky at all, there was always going to be safety cars at this race. Starting on hard was the best strategy for the midfield.

Antonelli had the worst weekend, but i think he will be mega in Monaco.

Lewis now moves ahead of kimi in the standings, but not far ahead. Albon moves up.

The top three guys in a very intriguing points spread. Max and Norris need to take more risk to catch up and Oscar cannot be too conservative as he was today to keep a healthy gap.

I was suprised of the pace of the Aston, it was genuinely quick this weekend, but the strategy screwed Alonso and Stroll.
For Sure!!

I don't why so many of you are blaming McLaren for pitting Piastri early from the first stint. They asked him if he could get to the target lap and he said not possible. "Plan C(?) is looking difficult to do" or something to that effect he said. He was within the 2s dirty air of Max for too long, and burnt his medium tyres (which are not 'medium' btw, they are C5 softs in the normal world). His laptimes were dropping like a stone, and he had to pit, irrespective of where he would emerge in the traffic behind.

What was Russell not happy about at the start? did he though Piastri was lifting off on the straight or something?

total fail by imola and f1 to not have a tractor or crane at that spot.... that tractor literally went half a track just to get to the mercedes.....that cost ham a chance to catch pia at the end of race
No, that gave him a chance to fight for higher position than 8th.

He wanted Piastri to cover Max so that he could slip through.

Actually very good racing and good overtakes for a change. Enjoyed the race even though some results disappointed me.

Regarding Leclerc/Albon incident if he did wrong to push Albon then Ferrari at least should've been punished as they profited by Hamilton overtaking Albon.

Piastri seemed to see Russel as the bigger threat (in his slipstream, on the inside) so he defended the inside, and braked too early. That gave Verstappen the opportunity which he took masterfully. Of course Russell would have liked Piastri to cover Verstappen, and let Russell slip through

Piastri threw away a possible win today with that turn 1 bottle! He should have focused on his title rival instead of Russell and take the racing line at the end…but he’s still young and nowhere near Max’s experience so these kinds of mistakes will happen!

I hope he bounces back because the world championship looks great right now and I really hope Barcelona does not end up nerfing McLaren because then it will be another Max walkover! At least now there’s a nice fight…

Max's pace was Mega, that can not be ignored. He was more than likely the fastest driver on track.

Piastri or Mclaren? They bottled his pitstop twice. Bought him in at the wrong time twice especially the second stop so soon after the first one and you think Piastri threw it away. But I will say that Max was on it today and that first corner overtake was epic.

I mean teams usually pit drivers when they ask for pit because tyres are dead, they also usually pit when there is VSC and they get to save 10s.
