I don't get why you always joke about the fact that Alonso claims to have brought 6/10ths to the team, other then the fact I know you are not a huge fan of Alonso's persona.

He is considered by most engineers to be the best technical set up driver out there. It doesn't seem that unreasonable to be a WDC with 6/10ths of info in your pocket. There had to be some reasons that Renault was so much quicker on years he was on the team.

As good as THE BOSS is, I don't see how any rookie could show up with anything but 0/10ths of other teams setup and tire knowledge.

But yeah, just curious. I actually like knowing what makes you tick sometimes.

i JUST THOUGHT IT WAS ONE OF THE MORE HILARIOUS quotes ever by an F1 driver... I rate Alonso very highly but for him to have said that when he barely drove the car in the development stage and right in the middle of all the spygate stuff where he was the one who was said to have Ferrari info on his celly... it just made me laugh so hard. Whose 6 tenths was it really? Alonso's or Ferrari's or even Pedro's?

And plus we have yet to see that 6 tenths develope at Renault these last two years... except for maybe Singapore '08 ... I still think their advantage was derived from the Michilens, but thats just me.

.6 seconds pretty much covers half the field in qually these days, so it is quite a big claim, and I dont remember him ever being 6 tenths faster than the rookie Hamilton, I do remember Senna being over a second faster than Prost on some days.

McLaren said they developed last years car by 2.4 seconds over the course of the season, so does that mean Hamilton(or even Heikki) is 4 times better than Alonso & his 6 tenths... I just thought it was a silly thing for him to say to try and hide the fact that Hamilton was all over him,and I laugh whenever I see him because I am reminded of it.
