That is the first awful looking Mercedes livery since the hybrid era began. Actually, it's the worst of the lot since their return.

I seem to like whatever little I see of Bottas' new lid.

I have to admit, i started to like last years black livery. This however, is just awful.

I wish they'd get rid of the shark fin. The car would look so loooong and svelte without it. I hate the shark fins on these cars.

In motion, I doubt the AMG text on the engine cover will be as noticeable.

It’s the forward AMG text near the cockpit entrance that’s too large & blocky. I know it’s prime real estate space, but if they did away with that section of billboarding it would look much sleeker. Just the teal swoop on a black background would be killer.

Merc livery problem is simple to explain but hard/impossible to solve.

Teal, silver, black in almost any combination = stunning

Red, silver, black in almost any combination = stunning

Teal & Red with silver and black = bleugh!

a photoshop render is a completely different thing than real life. it just doesn't work like that.

Even the silver was really good from previous years with the turquoise and I specially loved the Merc branding on the engine cover. I don't mind the AMG branding but I have no idea why they went grey/silver with black and there's already turquoise and red/maroon.

Well, at least they screwed up something.

An interesting idea but with the scrutiny that every inch of these cars gets these days, hiding something is very, very difficult to do.

It could also be just to obscure something. RBR has done it several times during the hybrid era.

It's not my favorite, but I don't think it's as bad some here make it out to be.

I like the livery a lot apart from the engine cover that looks like it's been designed by a boy racer. I'm really glad though that the stupid fades are gone. It only took them 10 years to realize that teal lines look better without a fade on silver or black
