It's still early in terms of getting the set-up right.

Fact: Webber 0.4 s behind Vettel. In FP1 also behind by 1 s.

Trulli's car is taken apart. Bad for his training.

Both Merc drivers are slower on options than on primes.

It is the Montreal Biosphere.
Biosphere = ex-American pavilion at Expo '67

It is located at Parc Jean-Drapeau, on Île Sainte-Hélène in the former pavilion of the United States for the 1967 World Fair Expo 67.

The sun is coming out and Massa makes the soft tyres work for him. Alonso first cuts a chicken and then he goes P2.

The sun is gone away again. We may have seen the fastest times on the soft option tyres.

Most teams are now testing the brakes on higher fuel loads. Quick times are mostly over. Rosberg prepares another test with options.

And we have the first ground hog on track.!!

That's the biggest ground hog I've ever seen. :lol: Dude, that looks more like a cat.

Man, Vettel cut it close. That can't be more than 2 inches off the wall.

What's with the McLaren drivers...are they all color blind to red? Last time Lewis didn't see the red light & ran into a red car. Today, Button didn't notice the guy in the red uniform. #-o

Trulli's car is finally fixed and he got 15 minutes to do his testing.

Most teams complaining of massive graining now.

... Hitting the brakes like that, that's a fail on the Highway Code, you are supposed to just hit em, roadkill, otherwise a sudden stop represents a danger to other road users. Jean Todt, in a yellow high-viz vest, will apparently be looking to add 3 points to Button's super-license for that.

Anyhow,
I guess Mercedes figured the straight exit was faster than the straight entrance, so have opted to pit at the far-end here. The knock-on is that a Red Bull would have to wait for a McLaren, instead of the other way round as at the last few races, which might prove critical.
Also means top-teams should be able to wait till their car actually enters the pitlane before GO-GO-GO sending the mechanics out and tipping their hand to anyone they are chasing.
