Arrous A8 1985.
But what GP?
It seems it used bargeboards at Brands-Hatch, maybe earlier than that.

Are you sure it was the first one?
What about Lotus 97T from the same year?

when did the Lotus raced(GP) with them?

you have the year correct, now it comes down to the GP I guess.

that looks like Nurburgring paddock...but tbh..years of racing never looked on the ground ...maybe because I lay on my back..:-)

o.k. Timbo - You win, and along the way prove me wrong.

unless someone else comes forward with another car/team who used them first, I will say Lotus wins the trophy.

this is the Lotus version

and they where used (at least) during the Portuguese GP (which Senna won)

the photo of the Arrows is from the German GP (which was later in the year)

according to an AUTOhebdo article on 8th August 1985 it was the first time that this feature was used. But they got that perhaps wrong then.
