Yep. Damage was done over the winter. This season is done, unfortunately. I’d imagine they won’t admit it publicly, but eyes will quickly move towards, 26’.

Macca should extinguish all hope for anyone this weekend.
in fact, Hamilton drove quite well in the third sector, he made a mistake, he could have shown 30.7
Yup he was only down 0.14 after S2... looks like he made a mistake on the last 2 turns and lost almost 9 tenths.
In his fastest lap he made a mistake out of the last corner, however Lewis was struggling in T13 & T14 the entire session (actually in FP1 as well, but didn't have a proper reference in the other car so I assumed it was just the car not working well in hot temps).

Even on earlier laps, whenever he was faster than Leclerc, he was still losing 2-4 tenths in the last corners. Charles was managing tire condition much better for the end of the lap.

no matter how he drove the tires, Hamilton made a mistake in sector 3, he showed 23.6 there, it seems, which is worse than his best 23.0, Leclerc showed 22.8, so Hamilton was a lot behind in sector 3 and could have shown a close time to McLaren

That was my point, it's not likely Lewis would finish a lap that was any better than Leclerc's lap because he was struggling on the last 2 corners the entire session.

He had lost his entire advantage out of T13 already, before making the mistake in T14 that put him so low in the time sheets.

Ferrari confirms that the new floor has performed as expected. Leclerc: "Our opponents are definitely ahead at the moment. We will do everything to make the most of the update we have brought. Let's see where this work will take us tomorrow."

Sure, the qualy sims was a little scruffy. But I thought the long runs looked really good.

I was mostly looking at Charles live timing.

They were off-sync with the others so it's tough to tell. Lewis had a lot of deg on the softs on those few laps he did, so maybe he switches towards Leclerc's setup for tomorrow.

Whereas Charles doesn't really have a good reference point being the only one (except Yuki who was miles behind) running his stint in the mediums.

This team wants to be serious? Another drink issue? Do they store his drink in a glass?

The fact that he laughs when he heard the pace looked encouraging isn't great in my book...

I think we should just focus on 2026 now, there is no catching McL on high deg tracks. Whatever they are doing with the tyres is next level.

Well there still seems to be a fair number of people in denial over this reality.

Cars were falling off the track in the last corner. The track seems very green. I suspect Lewis is pushing hard up to and over the limit to guide the setup of the car. Maybe the tweak things back a little to get it on the edge in terms of under/over steer. The race is also a night race right?
practice 3 may reveal more of the "improvement".

It aint over till the fat donkey sings! There is a lot of season left. How do Ferrari look against the Mercedes?
That's all I want to know, if SF25 looks better, then we can steal a podium.
