Wonder if we need another rule in F1 that in qualifying if the red flag is brought out any session will always be started with at least 5 minutes on the clock.

Not unbeatable but definitely helped by circumstances. Hamilton was looking like he had the legs on the whole field today until the last 3 minutes.

why he was some much slower? He was driving first in the clean air? I doubt he could touch Vettel, who seems not to push too hard in Q1&2...
You can gloat all you like but he was sat at the end of the pitlane for 2 minutes so it's likely the tyres weren't up to temperature and that they played with the tyre pressures to try and compensate. Also no one went quicker in that final two minutes, including your boy wonder, so perhaps the conditions played a part.

Fact is that McLaren had the pace to at least challenge the Red Bulls but circumstances denied us the chance to see who really was the fastest.

are you kidding? his q3 tim was a whole second slower than in q2.
he would of pushed vettel harder than the others thats for sure, it was obviously the tire temps/preasures if you bothered take notice.

Vettel put a monster lap, no? I doubt anyone could go faster.

did Vettel do 2 times laps in the first run and did his best time on the 2nd lap?

Vettel put in a great lap, but his closest competition was robbed from being able to have the same chance. You clearly relish Vettel's chances in a fair fight to feel the need to gloat about this.

Hamilton was 0.3s quicker than Button in Q2, 02.s in Q1. So he *should* have been able to at least run Vettel close...

Well, that was anticlimatic. I've lost count as to how many times now the team has let Hamilton down in qualify. Monza '08, Malaysia '10 spring to my mind. Surely, in a track like monaco where there is a high probability of sh.t hitting the fan, they should've known better, way better. Their timing for the first run wasn't that bad, but Massa came in, just changed tires and went out to ruin Lewis' lap. I bet that was planned as well.

Hamilton would have clapped that guy off the pole spot, like a fly. Too bad with doodoo Massa blocking him and unfortunately the accident with Sergio, the track cooled down, got slippery, the tyres cooled down, so all the drivers were 1 second slower than their first run. Vettel escapes the wrath of the Boss Again... Looking forward to the saftey car tomorrow.

I do not deny that, but not to beat him on the pole

the teams had over 7 minutes to set a fast lap, sitting in the garage until the last minute is always a gamble. Nobody was robbed, the smart teams put a fast lap in before the circuit sat and slowed down.

No different than a rain shower or anything else in qualifying, you must think there is always a chance of a yellow or red flag at monaco.

Because he was on cold tyres. We've seen that Hamilton was consistently 2-3 tenths quicker than button all weekend, if he hadn't got screwed over, he probably would have been within 0.05 of Vettel or ahead of him. Not only that, but we know the RBR's race pace is much worse than it's qually pace. My prediction for tomorrow:

1. Button
2. Vettel
3. Hamilton

Ofc, this relies on a great start and a great pit stop or two from the boss.
