I Think Max will have a harder time getting a good start this year and jumping p2, because this year he starts on the same compound compared to last year when he started on the softer compound.

I agree. This year, top 4 is on mediums whilst last year only the Mercs were on mediums.

Ok so now we are 100% sure that every talking about that Mercedes hurt on high rake etc was just a BS. BS as always from them.
RBR is close, closer than any time in the past, but Mercedes is still on the front, without any doubts.
Not BS. The car was expected to dominate this year but they lost more than their rivals. Now its all about getting that nagging instabilty out of the rear end and returning back to leading races by thirty seconds.

Not gonna happen bruv. RBR is too fast over the race. If Merc wins it'll be by paper thin margins.

two challenges bottas has to clear. he hasn't had good starts throughout 2020 when he was on pole. he needs to change that. he hasn't shown great skills to keep the tyres alive in races and falls back in clutches of lewis or in this case, could be of max.
Don't worry. Even if Bottas will win the start, then Mercedes know excatly what to do, to "accidentally" switch him with Ham.
I dont believe so its very early in the season and Mercedes know they have a fight this year they will not risk such.
Also they have been doing pitstop training with hot wheels and such to try to prevent such mess from happening again

What i find stranger is Red Bull already brought upgrades to the car this time and they are not in front with the budget cap.
I wonder what Merc will bring to Barcelona have they just waited for such a track to see what to develop before putting in production

Russell P11 in the Williams.

Nice bounceback. He’s ready for the Merc seat, but Bottas has Saturdays like this.
Saturdays like this? Scrapes pole by 0.07 seconds from Hamilton who clearly had a shocker of a lap. T13 and 14 onboard with Hamilton were terrible.

That narrative was created to tell us how Max threw the title away and Hamilton stole the title in a slower car same as is peddled about 2017 and 2018. Max is closer then ever before but there is a difference.

This race won't be indicative of the pecking order. Tyres aren't working for anyone and the wind is adding more variability

One bad sign for the Honda fans is that this weekend both Bottas and Hamilton are fast. It is the first time this year that Bottas is on pace with Hamilton. To me this suggests that the Mercedes is solving their issues and the car is returning to the devastatingly neutral balance it had last year. If this is the case, then it is bye bye Redbull.

What is the race pace like between Hamilton and Bottas. I didn't watch yesterday FP1 and FP2. Is there any chance Bottan can win tomorrow?

RBR has a faster race car still. It'll be very close tomorrow, I hope Bottas wins this one, or Perez.
Totally disagree. Mercedes have the fastest car, as shown by the 1-2 and crazy pace on the mediums.

Unless there are any issues such as safety car or reliability, and as long as its Hamilton up front not Bottas (who traditionally has poor race pace) then it will be at least 15 seconds to the closest Redbull by the end of the race.... probably more.

Just best to pretend he isn't in the most dominant string of cars in the history of F1 to get his records.🙄🙄
You know, most people really don't care because he got that car for a reason!
Yes. The reason is Michael Schumacher! 🤣🤣

Yes, Saturdays like this where he’s on the pace of Hamilton.

I’m not crowning Bottas. I’m merely pointing out he did exactly what he’s paid to do today. So chill lol.
