Well, since Andrew is not proposing anything even though I conceded to his swift keyboard use, here comes my question:
An F1 driver from the good old days was very well known for his good starts in another racing series, but not because of his quick drop of the clutch.
He is also probably the only F1 driver to have competed in rally with his team-owner-to-be.
Sorry, the hint is coming later than expected. Not Vic Elford.
Remember, it's from a time when racing drivers used to compete in several series. And the car the guy was driving with his future team owner was a Sunbeam Talbot.
