Monaghan interview continued
“We understand what’s happened but actually affecting a cure is not that straightforward. It may never disappear from the car.

“Can we reduce the magnitude, improve the lap time? Yes. There’s a lot of clever people in Milton Keynes who are working hard to improve step and it will come.”

Monaghan added that the upgrades, if optimised, should add speed through all corner variations for Red Bull.

“It will get us at the majority of them,” he said.

“Anytime you have a change of speed from the point you hit the brake to turn into the apex, everybody’s going to get it.

“Then it’s just the magnitude we argue over. It will come as incremental improvements and we’ll chip away. We’ll get quicker, don’t worry.”
Upgrade not for any specific corner type.

I think he also said recently something like adding 2 tenths of lap time is basically like adding one to two hundredths every corner over a roughly 15 to 20 corner track. I guess this upgrade can give them that.

If TSU is in SQ3, expect him to give tow for VER.

Max's third sector is awful, S1 very strong, S2 ok.

I stick with the guess that we don't have tires over the entire lap :).

Max was setting up for a fast lap, don't know where else he is supposed to be. You can't set a fast lap by being on the inside line of the final corner.

I think it was on cool down lap as Tsunoda was behind Stroll and Max pitted ahead of Tsunoda when Tsunoda Started his lap.

Not sure how people interepret these things. Felt like VER wanted to do a push lap but backed out after the last corner.

Not as strong as they need on the mediums. Maybe it's different on the softs. T16 exit lacks traction. They won't be able to pass anyone like this.
