I don't think the team has any to do with this. Totally Lance thing.mvfad wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 22:38Because he didn't do any free practice in Barcelona.
Now, the Stroll problem certainly didn't appear out of nowhere. Obviously they knew about the possibility and obviously they didn't want to put Drugovich in any free practice because it's obviously not in the boss's interest for someone young to appear who is better than his son.
The team indicated in the statement “over the past 6 weeks…” so they were aware about for over a month about his pain. They could have anticipated it.diffuser wrote: ↑31 May 2025, 22:49I don't think the team has any to do with this. Stroll will probably return to race in Montreal, which is his home race. That is probably why he will not race in Barcelona. He should have surgery today to give him time to recover for the next GP.
I think Palou has found his own El Dorado; I don't think he's thinking about F1 anymore.
According to the official session report, Alonso and Leclerc did their laps in similar temperatures. The f1-insights hub also records the track temperature. The bulk of the cooling (from 48C peak down to 42C) had occurred before the runs of Leclerc and Alonso. I think the real time loss comes because they effectively had to do banker laps as their final run. I think ALO is quite fast here. AMR made a good step. I don't share the pessimism of others. ALO can score points without bad luck.
