He's @f1enigma on Twitter, and generally reliably reliable. He's made good calls in the past. He called Sam Michael to McLaren 3 weeks before it happened,Senna getting the Williams drive, Petrov to Caterham etc. he has good contacts - would trust him.

Heck he also said, "Enstone will announce Kimi signed in a few hours now" then 3 hours later they did

The fact that he said he may regret saying october makes me think that Schumacher is starting perhaps to have faith in the team current developments? and maybe he thinks the C-spec W03 needs longer than just singapore to evaluate?

And then Ross drops an interesting comment:

I'm very happy with Michael's performance this year and with these technical challenges we are going to face in 2014, someone with Michael's experience and calibre would be a great asset to any team. Particularly our team.

2014?! I wonder therefore if the discussions with Schumacher are a case of contract to 2014, or no contract at all (schumacher leaves).

Dimi Papadopoulos? He never took much of a stand on Kimi's 2012 plans. I should know. I tried to coax him into saying something over and over again, to no avail. @f1enigma is quite reliable.
