Well the weight alone would take them a tenth or so (assuming they haven't been able to get down to the limit at Monaco specifically due to lack of SLM etc)
The redbull has been struggling with kerb with its weight, the lighter the car the easiest it is to find a performant suspension setup. Also, we don't know if the upgrade package in Austria fixes that, especially since it is a circuit with a lot of driving on the kerbs
You wouldn't believe Lewis would out qualify Leclerc... but he did
Hmm, not on pure pace

By far the most overrated driver on the grid. I mean by the fans, especially Scuderia fans who say he is Max equal. Team principals put him 7 th best last year. Nice effort by Lewis although it’s clear Ferrari was pole capable car today. Therefore it is still an underperformance, by both of them. If you actually go several pages back I predicted this outcome exactly saying I wouldnt bet a penny on Ferrari because of their drivers.
I don't think he's overrated, his quali results are very strong, but today showed precisely what his flaw is. It's almost as if he gambles on where the limit of grip is in the final moments of qualifying. If the bet pays off he's almost unbeatable, if it doesn't he's in the wall. Someone like Max seems to be able to feel his way around more, which is why he so rarely goes over the limit and can progress with the track.avantman wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 17:54By far the most overrated driver on the grid. Max was more than 1+ tenth clear of anyone in S1 and 0.5+ tenth clear of anyone in S3, in addition, the above plot shows, there is a massive gain through the mickey mouse section (hotel hairpin, fore and aft of it as well, which, calls for superiority with braking since it's downhill) before the bad camber tunnel entry.Badger wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 17:52Max loses it on the straights and in the nouvelle chicane. Lap is good everywhere else, solid cornering performance from RB22. https://i.postimg.cc/7Pc4W5PT/speed(7).png https://i.postimg.cc/MHXWjR6x/delta(3).png
