Ι agree considering the Mercedes were also way off the pace. The car with the shorter wheelbase and the shorter gearbox ratios should be perfect for Monaco. There's a lot of room for improvements.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑05 Jun 2026, 14:52The car is definitely not nailed on, they will need to improve their setup.
But it's a long weekend, three practice sessions, I'm sure they will figure it out.
They have the shortest gearing and shortest wheelbase of the 'big four' teams. Plus the 'magic' front suspension design from Rob Marshall. The car is tailor made for slow corner rotation, mechanically. Both Mclarens will challenge the Ferrari, guaranteed.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑05 Jun 2026, 14:52The car is definitely not nailed on, they will need to improve their setup.

Again 8 tenths off the pace and one Mclaren is out. Its not an acceptable performance on their 1000th GP. Something has gone wrong today cause you cant lose 1 second of peeformance from one track to the next without anyone bringing upgrades.
Seems to be a weakness of the Mercedes power unit doesn’t it.
