MSC could have been trying to keep heat in the tyres with some lateral movement ie weaving, so as to keep the tyres in operating temps. I'm not sure exactly what sort of tyre problems they are experiencing but it must be wear and not heat related. Odd. I read the cars where overheating it's tyres......
Are you saying that Schumi's tyres were too cold, instead of overheating? It is very rare to see racers weaving during the race.

Their pace in first stint is definitely disappointing.

Is it correct that Rosberg was overally faster than Schumi, as Rosberg was keep setting fastest laps? I do not see Schumi doing the same thing. Anyway, both Merc drivers collect decent points for the teams, even though their race pace is not very spectacular.

I'm not too sure myself. Just speculating. I saw it a couple of times by MSC, but in all honesty he could also have been trying to avoid the bumps.

there's 2 radio transmission to Micheal and Nico.
Micheal
@F1PitRadio
"OK , Michael great job, great job, P6". "Sorry guys"
Nico
Rosberg says "I don't know man, at the beginning of the race, there was no grip at all"
They have realized that missed a great opportunity here.....

haha quatum leap for MGP at least they just managed to keep clear of Sauber ...who excelled at a track that does not suit their car.... :wtf:
I cannot see a track MGP could hope for a podium ,let alone a win ..they are not very quick and they fail to realise when to stop for tyres ..in their case it would have been a lot wiser to get rid of the first set of tyres but maybe again they wer hoping for a miracle and suddenly their tyres finding a second wind....i just don´t get this.(Considering they were not running out of tyre life at the end)..

so nothing to boast about with reference to FI when you are blown away by a team with the wrong engine and not half the budget....at least rosberg had a few fighting moments for once...

Seriously speaking, I believe there's a clear and present danger of MGP losing 5th spot to Sauber, then what, will DrZ take that?

The rest of the season rests on this Singapore upgrade. It has to be big, or it's over for 2012.

This is actually the amazing part, with all this xpensive brain-power not much seem to happen on this front,
if anything the W03 has been sliding back the pecking order since the beginning of the season?

that BIG singapore update?
What might this consist of ? maybe they found a set of dumbo ears in one of the lockers and nobody remembers what they were good for...
I seriously ask : when did MGP or ANY of its former iterations come up with an upgrade you could actually see making a real difference in terms of pace?

Maybe my brains are too old to remember ,but in season development steps were always too little too late and never ever turning around fortunes big time.It was more like a trying hard not to fall back further ...
But lets wait and see ..maybe it´s w04 we will look at in a few days...I ´m looking forward to be surprised by this disappointment of a team.

Sauber clearly make my day on Sundays and I gladly admit I hope they jump MGP already next race ...with all due respect it would have been already done and dusted if Mr.Grosjean had not suffered his usual brain fade come sunday.

MGP are still trying to uncover the last secret of tyre management ...maybe they should hire Sergio Perez?

Perez did benefit from starting on the new hards (and not taking part in Q3), lets not forget that. Look at where Kobayashi finished.

I still believe that at least part of the problem comes from the three kings. For all of my humble design-engineering xperience,
no alfa-dog wants to work and improve on somebody else's mousetrap, he wants to design his own. Simple as that.

Are you with me marcush?

I dnt knw whether to be happy or sad about today's result. The 1st stint was appalling but in the end 6th and 7th positions were not too bad I guess. And, as always, the pitstops were horrible. These guys regularly take 4ish seconds per stop. Why do they suck in all departments except the drivers'? I am hoping against hope that the Singapore upgrade will make them competitive [-o< else its goodbye MS, sadly

The engineers in the Brackley unit should hang their heads in shame - look at what Sauber are doing with half the budget. Deary me; it can't get any worse. Oh yes it can, if Sauber finish infront in the WCC  . The package for Singapore is the last straw for this season; and the W04 will define whether MGP get further involved in F1 in future, or sell out.
