Honestly? he is no fighting agaisnt Ferrari and Norris behind, the will fight for points, remember, The race pace is terrible. He will fight with Hadjar and Albon, for points, nothing more. This track is friendly for AM and make here they are 5 or 6 team. Praying for the "SIlverstone Lunch Upgrades". Guys, Alonso has a contract to 2026 and he probably prefer die instead leave and not drive a Newey's car for the first time. Hes not leaving. Maybe he will go to Alpine in 2027 if AM will be a disaster or Verstappen comes and Alpine is competitive. If AM sign to Verstappen for 2027 and Alpine will be a disaster, Alonso probably will be end his carrear after next year
he will retire in 28 with 4 WDC's. :D

Podium was possible. He went wide at turn 10.
Do you really think he lost 0.450 in Turn 10?
No, but he almost abandoned the lap after wards. He didn't do his best cause he knew he screwed up.
If everyone had perfect laps we would be p8. The car is not ready for the podium it’s still flawed. Alonso drove out of his skin to put it up there. So many factors could be the reason (tyres seemed to give up for others won similar used tyres like Antonelli said his gave up on turn 10 which I think happened to ALO) so all in all great result. I think blaming Alonso every time is getting tiring when he maximised the result. Just enjoy it

during practice yesterday Karun Chandhok talked about what a story it would be if Aston/ Honda built a car in 26 that was good enough for alonso to win a title at his age. man that would be some crazy sh#$. and i have to agree with him. i know its a long shot, but if it was ever gonna happen, the stars seemed to align at just the right time. after all the waiting for this guy to have a car that could do it. i hope newey and honda build another rb19 in 26 because hes deserved it since 2012.

I think Newey will probably ace it and im sure Honda will give it everything to match the best engine so I think it’s possible definitely

I am pretty sure Alonso chapter in formula1 will end on the high as WDC. Universe has written a Special story for him.

Good job by ALO, not very good. Admitted himself on the team radio that the Q3 lap wasn’t ideal. STR should go ASAP, clown show nowadays. Just blocking a seat for a competitive driver, that we also have a real reference for ALO.

I’am afraid also the more they manage to make the car quicker the more Stroll will struggle.

Also I heard Alonso saying that he understood the car more since Imola in terms of how to find the right set-up, and we all know Alonso, he won’t share the information with the other garage. Same story since the season with Button.

The season is long and the head to head statistics at the end will have a tremendous gap between the two.

Even if it's true ,Alonso of course share setups. But what is work.for him is may not work.for anybody else. Look at Redbull 2nd seat.
