And over the course of six runs at the Northamptonshire circuit, the new charger performed faultlessly, with Max getting through 38 laps as the Team performed a battery of systems checks ahead of next week’s first test in Barcelona.

After reluctantly climbing out of the car, Max’s first impressions of the RB15 were positive.

“I was really excited to jump in the car and as soon as we got going it felt pretty normal. It felt good and we had no problems, so very happy with that,” he said. “Also, the livery is very beautiful, even though it’s only for today.

“Of course today is a filming day, so there’s a limited amount you can get out of it, but it’s really important to have a day like this, before you go to the official tests,” he added. “You get a first impression and you see if there any little issues with the car or engine. Luckily we didn’t have any and it’s very positive that we had this opportunity. Now we can go testing properly, we’ll see what we can get out of that and we’ll be able to understand the car and the engine a bit better. But so far, so good.”

How could he possibly know how much power Renault has ATM?
I assume he means compared to the power of the Renault in Abu Dhabi 2018.

But according to various sources, Renault have found a decent amount of Power since then.

Yeah, but that's it, isn't it. He said it like it is now, present. And he can't know that even if Honda is more powerful than Renault.
And this kind of comments will get more and more traction and that doesn't benefit to nobody.

The second quote of Marko is from last year. Typical bild clickbait bullshit.

He's smiling though, so I wouldn't think it would be no power.

The other issue is the video cuts in the middle of the conversation. He could be talking about his rental car for all we know or comparing last years car to this years car or the performance of his new yacht (does he have a yacht? lol)

I think if there had been PU issues yesterday Max wouldn't have been as upbeat as he was in the post filming day interview and we would have heard something.

Just to be sure: This livery won't make it to Melbourne, will it?

Indeed. Even when lifting or just not 100% of throttle exiting a corner, it's similar to last year, but the PU sounds different than last year... Exciting... [-o<

It's always interesting to look out for what isn't said in interviews: Christian, Max and Pierre all say the Livery is nice (even if one off), and the car looks good. They all mention that the engine is Honda, of course, but they don't mention its nice or good or drivable or whatever - yes its a shakedown so its not the forum for that, but it's interesting, as they will have been briefed on what to say and what key points to mention, hence they all say Livery is great - its a one off - engine is Honda.

Max actually did expand on the experience of driving it: "it felt pretty normal again, of course we've been out of the car for a few months" and a bit later "not proper tires". Not sure what to make of that other than again cold and wrong venue for performance.

Backing up the wrong venue statement earlier - Christian also expanded that it's a cold UK winter day and Silverstone so therefore not conditions that would be meaningful for testing. It's for testing fundamentals, all of which he was pleased about.

Anyway it just struck me as interesting when listening to the interviews... make of it what you will :)

Don't look too much into it, it's all PR.
