Had a feeling Sainz was going to cause something.

Race control had an opportunity to turn this race into a couple of sprint races and took it.

The pinnacle of motorsport hahaha

Ridiculous.
Pinnacle of health and safety. Did all the drivers get juice boxes back at the garages?

One thing is for sure, we always get maximal spectacle. Unlucky for Max but good restart.
Race is over. Verstappen won, Hamilton is second.
You never know if they have to drive to the grid

Will not be a standing restart, almost certainly. If they go out they'll just drive over the line behind SC.

Did these each of these three debris events warrant a red flag for each?

FIA - We have to think about our planet so let's send them on outlap and immediately do inlap without any racing, brilliantly. :(

I mean, I've seen weirder things in F1.

Totally stupid by race control to even put a red flag first time out rather than taking SC and finishing race!!! Complete nut cases.
I second this. It should have been a finish under the SC. Race control decisions this season have been highly questionable. Alonso's penalty/non-penalty in the last race overshadowed it. This ending will overshadow this one. If done well, no one would be talking about race control's impact.

waste of time . The race could be completed by a hour ago. FIA try to create interesting race but wasting time.

Lap 56 57 and 58 should be completed behind safety car. Race was over a hour ago.

A restart at this point of a race is always going to be carnage
How so? Surely that's only because they aren't careful owner-drivers like Brabham and McLaren?

Great job by Verstappen, Hamilton and Alonso anyway. Russell unlucky.

All I will say is this was what the old rule was used to avoid. Once 75% of the race was completed then a red flag meant a red flag. No restarting and the result taken from the penultimate lap.

Standing restart while the drivers are exhausted is not a good idea. Recipe for mistakes.
