I'm sure Max was super fast but he didn't disappear quickly because of that, he disappeared because he is in a much faster car in that case.

I didn't know too but I read it on another forum who the driver was and googled it and saw he was driving a 330i.

It was pretty obvious from the video that the cars were different category. The guy wasn’t taking it that easy, with the car understeering on the exits slightly, yet Max was beaming through.

I have no doubts Max can smoke most (if not all) GT3 drivers on the same car, but the difference in pace shown in the video wasn’t any different than you would see from any driver pushing against a lower tier car.

As a sidenote, whenever Max retires from F1 I really hope he gives racing in other series a shot. Alonso’s night stint at daytona in particular was mega impressive. He was smoking the field under braking. Would love to see another generational talent in his prime school the grid elsewhere.

It is not speculation. Max told many people he will not be in F1 long, even totdat the press at the time he signed his contract that he regarded it as quite possibly his last. Max has allways been honest in these things, but people rather seculate than listen.
Max will not change teams.
He, his dad and Raymond either get control over Red Bull or he'll set up something for himself in an different category.

He already did.. He has his own GT3 team and is the teamboss.
Max recently said he will race in F1 as long as he enjoys it and as long it doesn't bother him to leave his family behind.

And those many meetings at hotels etc that Wolff, Jos and Raymond had before the summer break in 2024? They were just chit-chats

I think if they didn't have their options open, they wouldn't be bothering with this

They are not so stupid as to think red bull will always be the obvious choice

Still, reckon that 296 was pushing out rather more than 600HP. Either way, great to see Max having some fun.

Jos has his own rally career and is rarely present at the circuit. Vermeulen always goes with Max to arrange everything with RBR.
