I remember a driver once saying if there is a gap and you don't go for it, then you are not a racing driver.

I think hammo took that a little too literally today!

The trouble was there wasnt a gap. He even took the apex cone out at the time of collision.
I just cant see how that can have ever worked out.

I was half expecting a black flag.

Very bad day at the office and made worse with that "supermodel on coke rant" interview :)

Dont get me wrong i do like the guy. Him and Alonso are the best in the field. Normally i think he drives and overtakes well but today it came unstuck.

Please leave it open. It is not often that we get so much comedy in one race.

Seriously though, Hamiltons performance was just disgraceful and not worthy of an F1 driver, especially one who is supposedly to be a champion.

So much for people calling him the boss. He wasn't even the office junior today.

Hamilton was frustrated today. he had lost it even before the race started.Under these circumstances it´s very hard to match reality with your own expectations.
I feel he got a bit carried away with his overtaking attempt but he drove so well all the laps before .He followed so close without a single touch very very good aggressive driving .Canada is his.

Look, Mr. Hendrix at least gives us a reasonable quote. I couldn't agree more with him. Perhaps he's not the communist I feared him to be.

Ciro must be a standup comedian for his day job. His comments in this thread are nothing short of BRILLIANT.

Mclaren apparently got Hamilton to do a quick rethink about the interview, and sent him back to the track where he apologised to the stewards over his less than flattering remarks. I hope he did not forget to also remind them they should look at the torro rosso drivers :)

Wasn´t Schumacher putting a move on Hamilton that was clean and surprising in the first lap in loews? i think that was what derailled Hamiltons day...

That was a clean overtake and Hasmilton completely asleep. He paid back no question but Schumacher was already on no grip rears so it looked more spectacular as it was.Not a lesson .The lesson was given in lap 1 .

OK, OK.. lets look at the incidents to see if it was really low driving standard on Hamilton's part.

it will be nice to show the clip that is in real time. at least we know if there is any chance Maldonaldo could space to lewis without ending up in the wall. from what I can see, Maldonaldo is definitely taking the racing line.
I'd say clearly Lewis fault. At the last second he got about 35% up the inside. Low standards on Hamilton's part, indeed. It's a shame this might blight his year, because he's been fairly incredible.

Don't let your bias effect your moderating. No one has attacked each other yet. So, with the threads here that are chock full of personal attacks that HAVEN'T been locked #-o , how could you justify locking this thread?

I dont want to make this a bash thread but he has to share some of the blame on Massa, Maldonado? And the move on Sutil, forcing all cars into evasive actions and got Petrov in the wall? Very ugly.
