With all due respect (read: don't crucify me) i think Ricciardo was chosen because they wanted to choose someone from the Red Bull young drivers' programme.

I think Vettel will mop the floor with him.

I can't fit them on mate, I can only put 10 and since I didn't have a good way to judge it I just stuck on the top 5 constructors last year.
yes, you can...in such cases you opt for 9 names and 10th option is Other...so someone who would like to vote for Williams would choose Other

Hmm, let's see what happens with Daniel. I'm no fan of his, but i don't think he's a floor mat.
As for Vettel i know he's better than Webber. But i don't think Webber was all that good jduging from the errors he makes in qualifying. And when Webber doesn't make mistakes he's fairly close to Vettel.
Daniel is very hungry, and because of that X factor I don't think Vettel can sleep on him. Vettel will have to bring his A game every race. Of course he will outrace Riciardo; it's just the qualifying battle where i'll expect to see a few surprises some of the time.

As for Mclaren, i owe button more respect, but for some reason i'll have to hand it to Kevin. The fact they dumped Perez for him shows he's much better. And Button was handling Perez too well.

In team Ferrari, Alonso is going to make Kimi look ordinary. And Kimi is quite good.

Realistically I've voted for Rosberg as I'm positive it'll be one of the Merc drivers.

However Magnussen or either of the Williams boys would open things up nicely for the season imo

Personally I think it could be one of the Williams, likely Felipe Massa looking at his qualifying from last season, just a thought looking at testing so far

Oddly enough, just the opposite happened in the following Saturday in Malaysia's q3 session and Lewis ended up ahead once more.
not the opposite, Rosberg was 3 tenths faster in dry Q2, then it rained in Q3 and Lewis qualified ahead. It was the same as Aus

As of now, my bet is on Magnussen

If Renault engine was on par with Mercedes, I would bet on Maldonado as he's damn fast in Q and Lotus nose solution seems to be the best one, imho. Plus, Lotus TD said their car is a "super" one and that they couldn't believe in the numbers they saw on wind tunnel

As it stands it looks like it will be a Mercedes driver, based on Lewis' comment on feeling more comfortable with the brakes and with this years car in general id have to give him the edge.

Aus Q1 and Q2 was on inters - then they moved to slicks for Q3

I really think Ferrari has some serious tricks up their sleeve, and Macca has something very special with those mushrooms. I may have chosen the wrong week to stop sniffing glue, but it may be row 3 before the factory Merc represents in Oz.

Alonso will beat Kimi this year.

Qualy this year will be worth less than ever in F1 I believe, so not that important.

My gut says HAM, bit I wouldn't be shocked if it ends being ROS.

A Merc on pole anyway. Otherwise, I would be really shocked yeah.

I think it will actually be significantly more important. With more torque, less down force, and more emphasis on saving fuel, getting stuck behind someone is going to be a nightmare unless you can lap substantially faster than they can.

I put my bet on ROS, (but also see there HAM or even MAG). Never mind if Ferrari or other improves, no one will sit idle next days, so I expect Merc on pole and Rosberg can put nice quali lap

HAM for sure. I wouldn't be surprised to see Magnussen up near the front.
