I'd like to see them both there next year...Especially if they could pick up a new engine other than Cosworth.

Well you wont. He's gone. Guess his skill isn't priceless. He should have stuck to mastercard.

Hulkenberg going to Mercedes as a test driver in preparation for being Schumacher's replacement is my guess. The contacts are all there and he'll have a drive in a decently funded team in the future - if it's still there that is.

There are rumors, possibly started by his manager, that he could land a drive at Ferrari next year, but it's highly doubtful. Massa's family is LOADED, I'm pretty sure he's untouchable.

I'd love to see him at Ferrari. I think he surely has the skills to do well there.

Plus my Brazilian friend says the Massa family is one of Brazil's wealthiest, possibly due to ties with Santander, but I'm not an investigator you do your own digging.

Regardless it's just a rumor, like I said, probably started by his manager seeing as how Willi Webber has ties with Ferrari, being Schumi's manager during his time with the Red team.

My one gripe with Hulkenburg is why did he look so average in 2010.
More could have been done.

First season in F1 in a less than average car, not to mention all the attention was on Rubens. Hulk is a great driver, maybe not a great racer, but definitely has potential.

Good racers aren't necessarily good drivers, to me a good racer is someone that can extract the performance out of a car on a single lap. Trulli, is an example of a great racer, he can get the performance out of the car, but when it comes to driving, he's slightly above average. Button is an example of a great driver, he can read the conditions, deal with the car, and with traffic, but he's not that great of a racer. He doesn't attack the apexes, nor has he the car control of Hamilton.

Can good drivers be successful in F1?, Button was last year.

With a driver of Massa's stature though, family financial background shouldn't matter. His results should do the job. Or are you saying Massa is a pay driver?

Massa started as a pay driver, not to take away from his skills at all. He's very fast when he gets the car to work for him. In 2008, the McLaren was the fastest car by far, but Massa was ripping it in qualifying even if his race pace wasn't as good. Did you see how Hamilton hunted down both Ferraris in Istanbul, or Piquet and Massa @ Hockenheim?

lol you cant be serious? i think youl find that if anything the ferrari was the faster car that year.
do you realise what was happening at istanbul and hockenheim? lewis was on a 3 stop strategy in turkey...so he looked faster through out the race, but only finished 2nd.
and hockenheim he had fresh tyres at the end due to confusion with the safety car...get your facts right.
