Does Kimi even have the upgraded turbo?ripper wrote:So in the end who really underperformed today is Raikkonen
I was going to ask the same thing. He is down on all speed traps compared to Vettel or maybe he is running higher downforce.giantfan10 wrote:Does Kimi even have the upgraded turbo?ripper wrote:So in the end who really underperformed today is Raikkonen
Only vettel got the turbo upgrade...Silent Storm wrote:I was going to ask the same thing. Oh now its a track he doesnt like?... he sure was telling the world they were better than Ferrari and would challenge mercedes for the win in canada and the red bull fans ate it all up.rscsr wrote:I don't think, that Riccardo was really underperforming. It is a track he doesn't like and last year he was just as fast as Kvyat. And this year he beat Verstappen relatively convincingly.
I don't know how you know they're best in the wet, let alone dominant.godlameroso wrote:Relax guy, you don't get points on Saturday. Let's see what happens tomorrow. If you honestly think tomorrow's race is going to be straight forward when it's almost guaranteed to rain. Let's not forget that the Red Bull is DOMINANT in the wet. If it's a race on inters tomorrow I can easily see a Red Bull on the top step. And Vettel was freaking close, Mercedes are not a guarantee for victory tomorrow, not at all.
No, they both got the upgrade. Sebastian and Kimi each got a new a MGU-H, TC and CE for this race.giantfan10 wrote:Only vettel got the turbo upgrade...Silent Storm wrote:I was going to ask the same thing. I pick Ricciardo as the person who underperformed...after all the bluster from him this past week...lol
Dont recall saying mercedes was a lock for anything.... hell im pretty sure there will be contact into the 1,2 and 3 complex.godlameroso wrote:Relax guy, you don't get points on Saturday. Yea youre right... also saw Kimi claim his issue with the hairpin is what messed up his time. Who knows...LionKing wrote:No, they both got the upgrade. They were very close to the top of the speed trap list. Vettel 335.4 and Kimi 334.5 km/h.
How can you say Ricciardo is beating Verstappen convincingly?rscsr wrote:I don't think, that Riccardo was really underperforming. It is a track he doesn't like and last year he was just as fast as Kvyat. And this year he beat Verstappen relatively convincingly.
All the wet races since Austin last year, whenever the road is wet, Red Bull just leaves everyone.f1316 wrote:I don't know how you know they're best in the wet, let alone dominant.godlameroso wrote:Relax guy, you don't get points on Saturday. I think it's a fair bet that with their chassis they'll be strong in the wet, but dominant?
Hamilton was catching ricciardo by small increments in Monaco whilst it was still wet, but again I don't infer that it gives us a 'wet competitive order'.
Let's see - I don't think any of us can profess to know for sure.
