If you honestly think tomorrow's race is going to be straight forward when it's almost guaranteed to rain. Let's not forget that the Red Bull is DOMINANT in the wet. If it's a race on inters tomorrow I can easily see a Red Bull on the top step. And Vettel was freaking close, Mercedes are not a guarantee for victory tomorrow, not at all.
I don't know how you know they're best in the wet, let alone dominant.

I think it's a fair bet that with their chassis they'll be strong in the wet, but dominant?

Hamilton was catching ricciardo by small increments in Monaco whilst it was still wet, but again I don't infer that it gives us a 'wet competitive order'.

Let's see - I don't think any of us can profess to know for sure.
All the wet races since Austin last year, whenever the road is wet, Red Bull just leaves everyone.
Austin 2015... red bull was setup for the wet and dropped like a brick once the track dried .... they admitted to gambling with a wet setup...... there is no other wet or changing condition race since then that red bull has even led much less won with the exception of monaco this year when Hamilton said:"they(red bull) were running a lot more downforce than us"
Where is this famous dominance in the wet?
Rain forecasted for tomorrow is 2-4 mm. Next to nothing.1 tenth of an inch

Erm... Lewis was catching Dan by small increments in Monaco as was stated above. Yes, their chassis is very good, but that doesn't mean they are the fastest car in those conditions.

It could be persistent in that it won't allow a dry line to form, forcing everyone on inters for the race, or it could be enough rain to only leave a dry ish line with very little grip. It could be a nightmare on-off again rain forcing people to switch back and forth between slicks and inters. The conditions can play into anyone's hands.

I was quite amused by the TV camera angle on Grosjean's car during qualifying. Of course it immediately struck me as trying to (and doing a very good job of) replicating the camera angle used before they put it on top of the roll bar. It had a narrow field of vision and focus point close in front of the car. I thought it looked great initially - it makes the car feel like it's travelling really fast - but then as I watched it more I realised the field of vision is terrible. There is almost no peripheral vision. It's like this tunnel vision makes the car feel like it's going faster.

They also fart thunder. And can make air replicate spooky action at a distance, while solving schrodingers cat paradox .

Red Bull's aero and chassis has global poverty next on the "to do "list.

Has some one got the top speed of top 5 cars with and without DRS?
Looks like the ferraris are fast on the straight.

this race can be epic for us (pilots on the limit and also big big strategy)
If after 2 or 3 laps we have :
1. Ham
2. Vet
3. Ros
4. Ric
5. Rai
6. Ves

It will be headaches on strategist for each team and each car.
They will probably have to split their strategy to cover others
and if we have a small rain...

Can't wait for the start
Leave me alone i know what i'm doing - Kimi
Stop all the bla bla bla let´s race on the limits and give the fans what they want on screaming monster formula one cars!!!

Amazing the development rate that RB constantly brings.

The shine is coming off verstappen a bit for me. He a potential champ, but he not the "once in a generation driver" he was billed as coming in.

this needs to be confirmed, it's just from my own records (but should be more or less correct)

I have to agree, Dan outclassed Max in all 3 qually sessions very comfortably.

Btw I was very impressed by Fernando's efforts grabbing a top 10 starting slot! =D>

Thanks a lot, nice work!

Last year it was a one stop race right? so they could do or a 2 pit stop one with US-SS-S (or US-S-SS) or risk a one stopper US-S

If it doesn't rain of course

If I see it correctly no new sets of US for anyone of the top4. I think they needed to hand back the 3 lap tires from Q3, so HAM, ROS and RIC will start on 4-lap tires with one hot lap and have each another 4-lap set left. VET will start on 6-lap tires and has a similar set left.
SS is easy: Everyone except RIC has one new set left.
S: Everyone has at least one new set.

it's interesting that Toro Rosso and Red Bull seem to have handed back all their SS tires and will only use US/S in the race though. Probably because the S is much more durable and the difference in speed compared to the SS seems to be insignificant (and because they need to use S as mandatory tire anyway of course)
