Austin 2015... red bull was setup for the wet and dropped like a brick once the track dried .... they admitted to gambling with a wet setup...... there is no other wet or changing condition race since then that red bull has even led much less won with the exception of monaco this year when Hamilton said:"they(red bull) were running a lot more downforce than us"godlameroso wrote:All the wet races since Austin last year, whenever the road is wet, Red Bull just leaves everyone.f1316 wrote:I don't know how you know they're best in the wet, let alone dominant.godlameroso wrote:Relax guy, you don't get points on Saturday. Let's see what happens tomorrow. If you honestly think tomorrow's race is going to be straight forward when it's almost guaranteed to rain. Let's not forget that the Red Bull is DOMINANT in the wet. If it's a race on inters tomorrow I can easily see a Red Bull on the top step. And Vettel was freaking close, Mercedes are not a guarantee for victory tomorrow, not at all.
I think it's a fair bet that with their chassis they'll be strong in the wet, but dominant?
Hamilton was catching ricciardo by small increments in Monaco whilst it was still wet, but again I don't infer that it gives us a 'wet competitive order'.
Let's see - I don't think any of us can profess to know for sure.
Where is this famous dominance in the wet?
Rain forecasted for tomorrow is 2-4 mm. Next to nothing.1 tenth of an inch
