Oscar’s saying he lacks confidence in the car. If you don’t have confidence, you can’t extract the maximum from the car.
As in what context did he supposedly say this?
I can’t remember exactly what he said, but it was words to the effect that he needs to find consistency and confidence.
Which probably means about driving Monaco. Nothing to do with the actual car.

Context is everything.

I was talking about Monaco, not generally.

In the Last 3 years, only Lando has been able to drive the car fast at Monaco.

Hopefully we can get one car into Q3.. sounds pessimistic considering practice sessions. But with Redbull, Merc, Aston, Ferrari and a competitive Alpine in FP3 it will be tight.

Also track temps are the highest they've been all weekend... so wouldn't be surprised if we fall back a bit

Can Q1 finish as it is now that Mclaren has done the 1-2? One Red Bull out.

Barrier looks unsafe, best to end qualifying right now I say.

Glad to see Oscar Piastri showing some good pace on where it counts.

Coming good when it matters, has been lagging behind Lando all weekend so far. Great to see.

I think it was clear he was being cautious until he had to put the times in.

Especially since we are busy building huge updates, this weekend we need to bring the cars home.

How huge of upgrades are we talking about? If they are like bringing 1 second on the pace then that is I consider huge.

I doubt it. The two together should bring at least Baku levels (2-3 tenths), I'd hope for more.

Stella described both upgrades as being much bigger.

There will another major upgrade later in the year too.

1 second?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

As strange as it sound I consider a huge upgrade on the level of a second.
