Anyone think it's a boon for us to have 2 cars up front to split the strategy? Pit the second car on lap 1?
No one in the points will do that.

Yeah, we shouldn't expect any strangeness with strategy. The team is conservative about strategy and seems to be unwilling to split strategies because of fairness.

Roll on 2026 and Will Courtenay. A team with the confidence to split strategies when needs be and to roll the dice on the fly. I have a feeling that with a bit more experience Oscar will be calling his own strategies at times, like Carlos did at Ferrari. Anyway let's hope the lads find some rhythm in FP3 and nail strong banker laps in Q1 and Q2. Those Ferraris look very strong.

Alex Dunne has just won the F2 feature race and now leads the championship. He’s in the McLaren driver academy…. Even more internal driver pressure for Lando
Dunne has backed his win up with the pole in Monaco =D>

Didn't they split the strategy only a week ago?

Then, when to likely red flag comes out, everyone changes tyres, and it doesn't work out.

Fair point, but that one was forced because Piastri said he can't make it on one stop.

They should probably always start on the fastest strategy, and play it by ear if needed, like last week.

They seem close and yet they need something more.

They could be in a bit of trouble here. Top 5 is going to be a good result

I have a feeling Red Bull's constant whining at the FIA and these Technical Directives did hurt Mclaren after all. They don't seem to be the fastest car anymore and I'm not sure what Red Bull is doing behind screens to gain so much time between sessions. Considering their past I'm suspicious. In any case Mclaren needs a huge upgrade to Spain and even though Phillip M was negative about upgrades they must bring them earlier.

Max and Charles do seem a touch ahead but norris certainly looks to be building it nicely.
I think we are in with a solid shout of both cars in the top 4 with lando perhaps going for pole. I just think he's building it nicely here.

Struggling to find a clean lap, especially Oscar, Colapinto and Hadjar seem particularly difficult out there. Dirty air through Anthony Noghes every time. Looks like Lewis fell foul of a dawdling Kimi in the Casino Square. Track temperatures will have dropped considerably by qualifying, so nothing to worry about yet, but Leclerc is pretty imperious.

This is the most worrying, though I’m not surprised

Only if the flag comes out at the start, otherwise it can mix up the order a little if it happens during a pit window.
