Good Luck Lewis i'm sure you'll need (your only hope is Brawn)
Exactly. I wonder what Hamilton is thinking at the moment.
he looks good because he know w04 can't be worse than this (but never say never) will be a shock for him if can't fight for Q3

What do you mean can't be worse??!!! Theres still 10 places behind them to fight tooth and nail for!

They're in a race to be the least competitive team in .......The World

I wonder how Nicos position is in the team at this time.He really struggles to put Schumacher firmly into retirement ..Who would choose him as a potential driver these days if he cannot beat schumacher on raw speed - and Schumacher says he´s not sure of his motivation to carry on ....
These are trying times for MGP-they had already announced their new exhaust is useful mainly for the slow stuff so back to square one .the car suits China and Monaco ..that´s about it.
I wonder if they could win China if it happened to be the next race ....how come?

I don't think they could win Monaco and China if they were to be the next races on the calendar. All other teams have upgraded their cars. Mercedes doesn't have the pace (both in the car and development). We've been wondering on this forum for three years why it takes them too long to bring upgrades, and when they bring it it is too late. The same was true with BAR/Honda. So no surprise on that part. What really bothers me about them is they say that we are here to win championships blah blah blah, but their action shows no trace of that ambition. Look where Lotus, Sauber and even Force India are compared to last year. A win does not justify this uncompetitiveness to me.

As i have stated before, they have given up on this season long time ago. The upgrades will be tuned and working to the end of the season at best. It took RB, Ferrari a couple of tests and races to sort out how they wanted the design. MGP probably needs whole 2013 to sort coanda.

As normal there should also be some stupid statement from Brawn, "Aldo working with 2013´s car and Willis on the 2014" sems to fit MGP operations , what´s up with that?, it seems so idiotic. I guess they have splitted the workforce also so instead of going all in for one season they now do 2 half decent solution.

I see an excuse for 2013 saying "maybe splitting the resources was not such good idea" when car turns out ---.

Do anyone actually know how much the engineer staff have been cycled?, is it still the same engineers as 3 years ago or do they have some new talent?. Three kings to me means nothing, i think the great ideas comes further back in
organization. So if there is not more talent there now i would expect next years be as bad as previous + a heavy management.

Look at Sauber and FI no, they don´t have any fancy names fronting but i bet there are some brilliant engineers behind the CAD stations.

I saw Geoff Willis in "inside Grand Prix", it was comical, they guy could barly read off the teleprompter. It´s soo much anger one have against this team, sorry it comes out in this forum but i bet a GT3 team would run the show better.

Fire Brawn + they should never hired the rejects Costa, Willis and probably Bell. Keep Elliot, assign Symmonds and go on a recruitment spree across the globe to find young talented engineers not involved in the F1 business. Recruit some decent race engineers to get rid of the jokes currently. START FROM FRESH, hell they should even move the whole operation to Germany to really get rid of the old bagage.

Last note, look at Schumacher, the guy is really beaten but he really tries to restore his legacy. Im actually worried, i think he might go the same way as Senna.

Hey please lets not entertain those thoughts.
Unlike Senna, MSC has children and a wife. Thinking along these lines is not an option :(

Yes i agree but i can´t help dislike what i see. He seems to over-do it and are not relaxed, you can really see the frustration and doubt.

1. He´s upset by the sacking, he was promised good stuff to return and stuck with the team for 3 years of misery. The "thank you" was a nice misstreatment big time. (I think he is really pissed about this).
2. He want´s to prove them wrong by putting in good results and prio 1 beating Nico before season is over
3. as point 1 have made him fed up with F1 and he wants out, he still has his dignity/honour and by that sticks with point 2, so he has enormous pressure put on himself at the same time he want´s out, contradiction confuses one.
4. the car is absolute worthless so to achive point 2 something special is needed.

I cannot express how disappointed i am. This car still lacks tons of details other teams have on their car. An i really do not accept any argument like "well not every detail is of value, you cannot bolt on performance out of the box..."and so on. Mercedes is doing some things, but not the right things....and they are really slow in doing so.

Can't help but think that this team has already given up on even holding onto their current 5th (!) place in the WCC standings. At the rate they're falling backwards, it would be a minor miracle if they manage to hold off Force India for -- what to them would seem to be appropriately -- a coveted and well-deserved 6th place by season's end.

Seem like this car hates high-speed tracks. It's a complete and basic lack of highspeed aerodynamics that is lacking.
The whole issue of this car using it's tyres quicker than anyone ahead of them is due to them leaning on the tyre more, because of the lack of aero. Looking at the onboards, it's the classic adjustment during turn in that will immediately cost you 0.1seconds+.

hahah Nico car number 12 Lewis car number 11...... i'm so happy for his retirement. When I imagine that next year could be on the same team and fight for places 9-12 .... was a nightmare but I have to thank Michael for not letting that happen.

edit: i wonder how he can resist.... if he blows up a lot of nice things(for us) comes out i think how Hamilton react if he was in Michael or NIco position

Sauber and Force india clearly look stronger than Mercedes GrandPrix speedwise -does anyone know why they did not lure James Key into the team -one more king maybe but who cares..
5th in constructors ..who could care less if you have Hamilton next year ,every position lost this year can be sold as a genuine improvement next year.

They are bound to be 7th as Sauber and FI will eat them for breakfast they simply were lucky when in Spa both saubers were wiped out in the first corner ...they should have been swalled back then already.

It also hates low-speed tracks, and mid-speed tracks.
