I am not sure the 2026 floor is going to be flat.
If that is floor for 2026, that is flat floor + diffuser.

its pretty much back to 2008 aero.... oh how history repeats itself. we need refueling back too to further shrink the cars and prevent a snoozefest on same tyre strats

As the quali was embarrassing for Ferrari, so was some of the stuff written here from the root of all fault being in 2007 to other over reactions... Ferrari has not built a great car this year we all know that, let's chill though pls.

Good job Ham and Lec and Ferrari for the good race.

Car was much stronger today…but it’s all relative.

The Williams with Albon was and is continuing to be a problem. Can’t even think about McLaren or Red Bull

Leclerc made his own luck if he came in to pit on his own. If he got new tyres for the restart he may have had to fight through more cars, hard to say where he would have finished. Both drivers drove well, but Leclerc need to tone down the emotions. He's more emotional than Lewis. The medium tyres may have cleared up to extend his first stint.
I think when they do fix the ride height issues the car will be strong and fight for wins.
For Sure!!

Williams both team and drivers have been great these last few races. Sainz's result today doesn't show his solid drive, his luck was poor with the SC.

Even if Ferrari have better race pace, Williams are more consistent in quali and it's going to be tough for Ferrari compete for podiums like this. We will keep wasting too much time fighting the Williams to get ahead.

You have to give kudos to James Vowles for finding a new vision for the team and bringing it back to life. The opposite of Ferrari.

Same quali and race with Mercedes. The Ferrari drivers have a lot of experience and pace on Antonelli, and the Merc doesn't have the greatest deg generally. But this is useless when Russell starts at the front and Ferrari in the midfield. More time wasted getting around slower cars.

good recovery today, Monaco might be very painful, Charles said he thinks its going to bring out the worst aspects of the car and then today was asked if today makes him optimistic about Monaco at the end of the post race interview, says no and walks off smiling

Felt like watching silverstone 2023 again 😂😂. Leclerc kept on old tyres, teammate gets fresh rubber and just wizzs past. Its just that it was not for a win.

Was there any chance Hamilton giving leclerc DRS to hold Albon behind ?
not a chance for ham since oscar was just right there for the taking too. 2 more laps and he wouldve been through. stupid tractor taking so long to recover.
There was only 5/6 laps left and he was not catching Piastri. Should have considered helping Charles, but I'm sure it will come back around.

I would have like Hamilton to tow Charles but I'm fine with them being allowed to race their own race and overtake. Would not have mattered in the end as Charles had to give Albon the place back.

I thought you were exaggerating but the video is even more damning   A track of slow corners where qualifying decides the final order, we will need a serious improvement from Miami and Imola to even get 3 points.

Charles was mega today. He was unlucky, but these things happen. Going long stint 1, was never really on the cards.

Hamilton's strategy worked out great. P4-P6 is a good result for the team given the starting positions. Even if they qualified P4-P5, McL and Max have better pace, for now. Hopefully we the pack close in Spain, and after the Silverstone fix let us see what the SF25 is really capable of. It is a shame Hamilton's side flipped on the SC pit late, it would have been interesting to see Charles on the C6 soft for 10+ laps.

To point out that once again Ferrari strategy, for all the clowning out there, was absolutely on point for the day, on a track like Imola if you get 4-6 like that, including being unlucky, it's because the strategy was nailed.

Great driver, but he risks losing team support and possibly the points battle to Lewis if he stays so negative. I know he has high expectations after so many years, as a driver of his talent deserves a front row car, but he may well talk his own negativity into being.
Monaco can be good for the team. The car does not need to be compromised for high and low speed and aero efficiency. The team can use the China setup in Monaco with less risk of scraping away the floor. So i think they will be decent in Monaco. He can focus on trying to win at home again, as crazy as that sounds.
Hamilton is coming from a crap car, so is okay with just making progress. He's basically in Russell's position when he left the Williams and joined Mercedes, so there will be more patience with Lewis and more reflection even when results are not there.

Is it fair to say the brake upgrade helped with the race pace in Imola? Charles was going really fast on the hards.
Lewis also had pace but was just stuck behind Antonelli.
For Sure!!

I don't mean to be rude. But you don't know Ferrari at all if you think they will turn on Leclerc over him being disappointed in the car lol.

FYI even Vasseur just said they have low expectations for Monaco. So the team knows what to expect.

Thankfully, this embarrassing weekend is over. Unfortunately, 17 more to go or whatever they are i don't remember.
