Aston Martin AMR24

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I don’t know though ... perhaps the view/perspective but the air intake entrance does look different in those pit images.

Where the undercut starts at outside edge of intake had quite distinct form previously, this APPEARS absent in this image and gives an "overbite" impression/suggestion to my visual interpretation.

Need more images to determine if I'm just seeing nothing or something.

Not sure if there's anything new here, it generally feels the same unless some small detail I haven't noticed

What an odd front wing. I wonder what they are trying to accomplish and I'm surprised such a discontinuity (or sharp point, I don't know what terminology to use) would even comply with the regulation. Aston Martin never ceases to bring very odd wings, just like Ferrari always manages to bring weird halo winglets.

How many weird wings have Aston Martin brought now? The wavy rear wing at Monza 2022, the pseuso-endplate wing at Singapore and Hungary 2022, now this. Have there been any more really weird wings?

I never saw a photo from AM with sidepods or floor on, i assume they never did an pitstop practice. Idk if it’s possible according to the rules but would make the most sense.

Car will be shown to the media one hour prior to the FP1 session start, following the rules.
The upgrades will be tested on Alonso’s Car.
Stroll will run the old spec for comparison.

Lets wait how big the changes are at each component.

In Suzuka they did not list the sidepods (update was obvious). Maybe its the same again.

Exactly, sidepod upgrades are listed as coke/enginer cover on the document. Only inlet changes have a separate name

But as per AMUS with reference to Alonso they have not solved the biggest weakness which is tyre in the imola expansion stage.
