Thankfully, this embarrassing weekend is over. Unfortunately, 17 more to go or whatever they are i don't remember.
Qualy was a --- show but the race was mega.
Mega? We are still significantly slower than RB and McL. Only better than midfield teams like Williams and Mercedes which was nowhere.
Also, one car finished behind a Williams.

Already out of WDC and WCC after race 7. This is borderline awful. A P4/P6 is an embarrassing result.

There is a good news though. Imola won't be part of F1 calendar after this year which means ferrari won't be able to display such an embarrassing show for the fans and for Imola legendary history in 2026 and beyond.

LEC shouldn't have given the place back to ALB, but it made no sense to risk it given the gaps. Furthermore the race didn't swing towards LEC anyway, he was a bit unlucky with all the VSC/SCs but obviously if you start that far back you have to navigate this stuff a bit.

P4/P6 are perfectly fine when you are P11 and P13 after a few corners, once again displayed great strategy and managed a difficult double stack in complete traffic losing barely anything to LEC who was behind in that double stack.

You are being too dramatic.

I perfectly agree with you.
If it was not for the SC the first Ferrari would have arrived 45 to 60 seconds late with respect to the leader.
Practically speaking 0.75-1s slower per lap.
And this is the year where they were making proclaims of winning the championship.

People here seem to forget that qualifying is part of the weekend and therefore has a massive impact in the final results.
In race trim, the car was better than in Miami (not hard considering they were closer to Haas than the top) but in qualifying they were the 8th fastest team.

It's a colossal disaster. Hamilton couldn't even overtake Antonelli in the first stint who was nowhere.

Max was 30s ahead of the pack thanks to the VSC giving him an essentially free pit stop a lap after NOR pitted without VSC, and everyone else pitted too so they didn't gain back the time that Max anyway used in the pits...

PIA was forced to pit by LEC that was net 3rd on lap 16th of the race thanks to the great pace he had.

0.75s-1s slower per lap is ridiculous, LEC and PIA were very close on pace from lap 16th to 30-something when the SC was deployed.

Last one before I have to go out for a birthday.

Last race we spent pages discussing the delay with which Ferrari handled LEC/HAM swaps in Miami.

Right here in this race MCL on race restart allowed a 0 lap tires NOR to stay behind a 20+ lap tires PIA for 4-5 laps while VER was gaining on both of them, eventually NOR just passed PIA on track.

I'm sure the next time it happens for Ferrari it will once again be the only team to not make this decision instantly on the spot and no precedent will be cited.

Mega how?

They had decent strategy. Pace was nowhere near the RB or the MCL.

You could say the pitwall was kinda mega, but the car was nowhere near that kind of praise

Starting P11 and P12 and end up P4 for P6 with that car is a big win in my book.

Hamilton only 0.4ishs faster than Piastri with tyres 20 laps fresher

PIA vs LEC on the hard tire stint, including the various overtakes and VSC. This is a 0.2-0.3s slower per lap give or take at most, if you choose to not give any leeway.
