Well in fact I wish they would place him the whole year.
So Hamilton could put him in the wall again?
I think alonso messed it up from the moment the team decided to run with the rain setup. He also messed up spinning near the end of the race, but his race was screwed from the begining. Kimi may not have done much better in the same situation.

As it relates to Alonso Championship fight. His chances are very slim, he's gonna need all the support this thread is not giving him.

I would probably have to stop visiting this site because it would become so amusing I would pee myself laughing so much I may suffer bladder problems.

I love a good comedy, be it a movie, TV show, live improv, or just watching fanboys.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

Kimi won their with 2009 Crap car and if ur memory is short he won 5 out of 6 previous races ! We all know what happened in 2008, if it was not for Lewis cutting and overtaking Kimi, Kimi would have won that race

what did Mr. Fernando Santander Alonso do here with a much much better car this year? [-X > the chosen one the one who was going to become the next Schumy!

And the rain setup stuff was all a cover up for his poor quly

If the members of this forum had a say in F1, Alonso wouldn't be allowed to drive even a golfcart around the track.

OTOH, Schu was ever the most reviled driver in his day and see where it got him! :-k

I think you will find that Kimi didn't win in '08. Because he drove into a concrete wall. So please, stop saying he would of won, he crashed, end of.

More to the point, Kimi's crash happened when Hamilton was already past and pulling out a MASSIVE gap because Kimi had virtually no traction ...

If that was a guaranteed win for Kimi then I had better get my eyes checked.

Massa is fast but he's not much of a racer, Alonso on the other hand is fast, can sort of race, but his ego is so big it slows his car down by .6 when it's swollen.

i agree Kimi put it int he wall himself due to rain
But that doesnt take away the point that he was leading for comfortable win until rain stuck in the last few laps

Anyways Kimi would have atleast fought for win on sunday unlike what Alonso did
As he did in 2009 with a car which has not been developed at all and that too with a 6th fastest car !

Kimi season 1 with Ferrari 1 WDC 6 wins (arguably last one gifted)
Alonso so far with 2 wins (which both are gifted) and no hope in WDC

Kimi was brilliant in the last part of 2007 whereas Alonso is crumbling under pressure and he again excelled in the last half on 2009 when the team changes to favour him

its time for sacking some people in Ferrari that includes Sefano and Alonso

Ferrari made big mistake giving Stefano D the team principal role and set off Stepheny to betray them and lost many secrets they had
and Stefano D is incompetent as he wanted to throw Kimi out from day1 when Jodt left Ferrari

Is this not a bit harsh siskue??
Who you think, they should employ if they fire S.D.?
Needs to be seen, if this new guy can/could do a better job.
It´s easy to critizies, but much more difficult to do better.
I don´t think S.D. is the problem at Ferrari - IMHO.

wow... you really need to calm down... or leave...
How many things (from a technical point of view) are the same now and when Kimi became champion? Much MUCH tighter competition, some drivers that have matured and have been given real and powerfull "weapons" in their hands to fight for the WDC... etc. need I go on?
You say thath that doesnt take away the point that he was leading for comfortable win until rain stuck in the last few laps...
You gave yourself the answer... Just like Alonso messed up his race on sunday when the rain fell harder, Kimi did the same thing... And why is Kimi better than Alonso? Fred's race was over on lap 1, PERIOD. Everything else was damage limitation... And he did well after that if you ask me (if we ignore the teriblle ferrari tactics and the wet weather setup) ... until the slippery kerb and a DNF...

Siskue,
what's with the acrimony? It sounds like you carry a personal grudge against him.

Sure, he's made many (costly) mistakes this season, and if anything he has shown that he does not handle pressure too well. But he is still an ace driver who can win GP's and I bet he could still bag a title one day.

I don't think the F60 was a crap car - see Massa's results prior to his injury, he was clearly the best driver outside the dominant RedBulls and Brawns..
In 08, it was not clear that Kimi would have won.. Lewis was much faster than Kimi in the last stint and as the rain intensified in those last laps, it is almost a given that Lewis would have attacked Kimi till the end.
